Second very short post in a row. Unlike the other one however I actually plan on continuing this one in between working on 'A Chaotic and Tantric Life for a Spider' (please check it out, along with the pole on my profile) This story is of course an very powerful Luke fighting in the Rebellion against a Legends (AKA true cannon) worthy Vader and the many dark siders under the Empire's control. If you think its worth the effort to continue be sure to leave a REVIEW so that I know all of your thoughts.
The Force was a powerful ally, a powerful tool. The Jedi and the Sith had spent eons studying its secrets and the power it granted them. The Light and the Dark have been scourged for every scrap of mystery that they may hold, and scraps are all that were found.
Every time one of the orders found something within the depths of the Force that revealed more than what they once believed they either through it away or lost it in their greed to hord it for themselves. What point was there in being a well of power, a source of potential and change, if that power was never used?
The Force was far from being what one would call 'sentient' but it did have a level of self awareness that gave it a desire to be put to use. It did not care if it was the Light or the Dark that took hold of it and let it influence the physical world, it just wanted to be of use to someone. It wanted its full potential to be realized and utilized. So why did the Jedi reject so much of what it could offer? Why did the Sith not build on the strength they discovered through the generations? Why was it left to waste?
Fine then, if the Jedi and the Sith wouldn't realize its potential, it would find someone who would. Anakin Skywalker had been its first choice, born of the Light's reaction to the Darkness' attempts to create life, he had been an ideal candidate. Powerful, outside the Jedi's grasp, unknown to the Sith, emotional yet grounded, knowledgeable of pain and love alike. He would have gone far had the Jedi not recruited him, if the Sith hadn't turned him into their pawn… No matter, at least Anakin left behind something just as good. His son, Luke, had all the potential his father held before him, and an even stronger will to boot.
Anakin was lost, weather to the Dark or the Light it meant nothing, he was too entrenched in the narrow minded teachings of the Orders to truly grasp the full potential of the Force. Luke on the other hand, had no such limitations. The Jedi and their limited teachings were either destroyed or lost to the stars, unable and uncaring of making the young Skywalker follow their path, and the Sith weren't even looking for Force sensitives in the region of the galaxy he resided in. He was isolated from the Orders, but completely accessible to the Force itself.
It could work with that. After all, it had used visions of the past and future to affect the physical plane indirectly before, why not do so again? On a bigger scale this time, more encompassing, more detailed, more consistent. Either Jedi and Sith training would limit Luke's connection to the Force, but its own teachings would make them practically one. It would make sure of that.
This of course was a set up chapter just to get something posted on the 1st day of the New Year, hope its okay and gets you wanting more. Hope you all enjoyed, and again please leave a REVIEW and check out my other stories (leaving REVIEWS if you could, please) and profile poll.
