A/N: I was watching a rerun of Humpty Dumpty the other day where House tells Cuddy she's a perfectionist and she'll never be happy because nothing is ever perfect. And I was thinking, "Well, House, you're an idiot because you prove yourself wrong! You're Cuddy's imperfection, but she still loves you anyway." And thus fic was born. :)
Imperfection
There was only one time when Lisa Cuddy willingly settled for less than perfect. There was one imperfect blemish on her perfect life that actually made her happy.
That imperfection's name was Greg House.
He was like a bucket full of holes that let water leak out and ruin things. But she quickly found that patching up those holes didn't bring her as much satisfaction as she thought it would. Instead, she was content with simply mopping up the water that leaked out. And sometimes, she didn't even bother doing that.
Because he was the one thing in her life that she had given up trying to change. The one thing that she didn't try to perfect.
And truthfully, she liked it that way.
