Hungary was walking down the beach when she heard it. A beautiful tune playing with only one violin, interrupting the autumn silence. She stopped and closed her eyes, listening to the pretty tune. It reminded her of both Austria and Prussia, two of the most important people in her life.

As her thoughts reached a painful level she opened her eyes and looked around herself as a distraction. She spotted a man standing on the edge of a dock with his back to her, playing the violin. Slowly, she started walking towards him. Step by step the music became louder. As she reached the dock she saw who the man was. No less than Austria himself. He, however, did not seem to have noticed her, too concentrated on his music. She stopped walking, her gaze still lingering on Austria. She was watching him, while he was watching the grey sky above the horizon. His fingers sliding gracefully on the strings.

The wind decided to dance along with the music, causing sand to fly in Hungary's face. As a result she sneezed. Austria turned around to look at her, still playing the violin. A single tear rolling down his cheek. That's when she realised what song he was playing.

The very song that was played on Prussia's funeral.

The words of the song echoed in her head.

Who wants to live forever...?
