Rogue sat quietly observing the others. Everyone sat at their lunch tables talking quietly. The usually noisy cafeteria had been quieted by rumors of a mutant arriving late last night battered and barely able to stand. They kept saying he arrived on a motorcycle. There's only one way to find out. I'll sneak into the med-lab, find out who's there.
"Earth to Rogue. Hell-o? Any one there?" Jubes tapped her lunch tray with bright red nails.
"Huh? Oh, sorry Jubes." '
"You seen Kitty?"
"Yeah. She's studying through lunch for Storms big exam tomorrow."
"I don't know why that girl worries about her grades. She always aces the exams and pulls out at the top of the class."
"At least she cares about her grades."
"Hey, I care." Jubes said. "I haven't failed anything in the last three semesters. So, did you hear the news?"
Rogue half listened as her friend continued to chatter about the latest break-ups and make-ups.
"Oh, and I hear Bobby finally asked Tiffany out."
Rogue managed not to snort the Pibb extra she was drinking. "So Ice Boy finally grew a pair?"
"Yeah, it would seem I did." Bobby sat next to Rogue. "And for nothing too. I caught her kissing James five minutes after saying yes to me." He grinned. "Guess its back to movie nights with the best girls a guy could know."
Jubes raised an eyebrow. "Girls?"
"My apologies. Women. Three very fine women. So what's up for tonight?" Bobby asked.
"I can't make it. I have plans." Rogue said.
"Plans? It's Thursday night? This has been our ritual for how long? Come on Rogue, what's up?"
"Yeah, I need the comfort of all my girls." Bobby tried and failed to make an adorable puppy-dog face.
"Fine, I'll let you two help." Rogue smirked. "But if I get caught because of either of you, you'll both wish you had been studying with Kitty today."
