Prologue
"…-chan? "
What?
"V-chan? Oi, wake up already!"
Someone…is calling me…
"Vitali de la Luna! If you don't wake up, I'll pour water on you!"
Crap.
My eyes fluttered open, seeing a teenage boy beside me. I lifted myself up halfway, letting my arms anchor my weight, and then turned my head to glare at my 'brother'. He laughed at my reaction, which earned him a deep frown.
"Oh come on V. It's already begun - " his face no longer showed any kind of warm emotion. "We need to go before they find out we're gone."
Realization hit me. Ahh, right.
"Yeah, I know." I sighed as I pushed myself off the pavement, and began walking away with him. "But how are we going to stay hidden Tobi?" I asked. "We can't just go home, they'll just re-capture us." Tobi paused and bit his thumbnail, his eyes in deep thought. He turned towards me and showed off another one of his stupid looking grins. "I know someone who can keep us undercover for awhile, but it's a bit far from here."
I raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh? Who is it? How far…?"
"Oh. He's a friend of mine, but he lives in Shinjuku."
My jaw dropped wide open, leaving Tobi laughing at my reaction.
Shinjuku? What the hell?!
"What the hell?!" I repeated my thoughts.
Tobi pulled me towards him, getting me to move again.
"Don't worry, I'm sure he'll help us, but be aware of the fact that he isn't…well, normal."
My eyebrows automatically furrowed. "What do you mean by that?"
"You'll see in due time. Now stop asking me questions and get your ass in gear. We need to go – NOW."
I hate it when he does that. But, he did have a point. We weren't safe…yet. Following after Tobi, I glanced behind my back, seeing the white building fade away until it was replaced by other, more colorful, structures.
We had to get away, before they could do anything else to us.
Besides, other than them, we knew everything.
We knew a life that humans would have still known and lived.
Until everything was Erased.
