AN- This is my first story, and I plan to add chapters so it, so if that doesn't happen, I guess i did it wrong?
"Asriel! He is…dead!" The King comes sprinting through the door.
The scientist meets Asgore at the door. "Excuse me?" His black coat trails behind him.
"Chara, before she passed away, told my son that she wanted to see the golden flowers in her village for the last time. So Asriel absorbed her SOUL and went through the barrier, and looked at the golden flowers. The villagers, they saw Asriel holding her body, and…attacked. He told us what happened in the garden, and…he disintegrated." Asgore starts weeping. "Is there any way you can bring him back?"
The scientist thinks for a moment. "Your Majesty, maybe if Miss Alphys and I run some experiments, we could inject DETERMINATION into Asriel's remains. If that is okay with you, of course."
"Please, let me think about it. I should go also over it with the queen" Asgore nods slowly, unsurely.
"Please, take as much time as you need, but please be aware, Your Majesty, the longer you wait, the less likely that Asriel will come back alive."
"Yes, I am aware. I will come back to you tomorrow, Dr. Gaster. I want you to be able to revive my son." Asgore trudges out of the room.
"Oh, and, Your Majesty?" Gaster adds, "May I go look in the garden and runs some tests?"
"Yes." Was all Asgore could muster.
"Thank you, Your Majesty." Gaster says as he walks away from the door, deeper into the lab. "Miss Alphys?" He calls for her. "Miss Alphys, would you bring the necessary items with you to the garden in order to take a sample of Asriel's remains?"
Alphys replies, "Yes, um, sir! … Should I bring just a vial, or do I need to bring something else?"
"Gloves, remember gloves." Gaster gently tells her.
"Oh, yes, gloves. Of course…" Alphys murmurs.
Meanwhile, Gaster buttons up his black lab coat and washes his hands. He also brushes off the few particles of dust on him.
After some clanking noises from the back of the lab, Alphys comes rushing back with the vial and gloves. "Is this all I need, sir?"
"Yes." Gaster answers. "Let's make our way to the garden."
They walk out of the lab, and walk up the scarlet path to the first elevator, lava burning and churning down below. They only go up one floor, and then they walk safely through the powered-off lasers, and then take the conveyer belt to the other side of a puzzle that the Royal Guards are building. Then they make a long walk to the other elevator and take it two floors up. They make it up to the hotel. They enter, and go to the back of the lobby, to the core. They take they elevator up to the castle.
As they make their way into the garden, they hear sobbing coming from inside. Dr. Gaster peers in and sees Toriel sprawled on the ground, next to a pile of white dust. Asgore is talking to her, explaining the experiment. Toriel slowly nods.
"Greetings, Your Majesties. I am just taking a sample and I will be back out in a few moments." Gaster insures. "Have you decided?"
Asgore's deep voice echoes across the room. "Yes. Please feel free to do the experiments and anything else to revive our son."
"Thank you for your consent. Miss Alphys, please take the sample."
Alphys walks to the edge of the mound. She cautiously dons her gloves and scoops the dust into the vial. "Um, we will dump this back out, My Queen." Alphys sees Toriel's expression. "Right, Dr. Gaster?"
Dr. Gaster slowly nods. "Again, thank you for your consent, Your Majesties, and I give you my condolences."
They exit the room and return to the lab.
AN- I know the sentences are a little choppy, but I want to see publishing works. If anyone would like to beta, I would welcome it.
