Dearest Rose,
I apologize. There was nothing I could do. Father is going to take me away in a few hours, and I reckon that I should owl you. Listen Rose, the war is starting, you know that I'm a warrior, and I might not come back, but do not fear. My love, promise me that you will remember me for who I am right now. Don't forget to set an alarm clock in the morning because I won't be there to call you up. Avoid fights, especially with Riddle, because I won't be there to protect you. Take care of yourself, and keep this letter. Whenever you're sad or upset for any reason, take a look at this letter and remember that I am and always will be there for you. Love is more powerful than death. I will come back for you, but if the war has ended and I did not owl... Well...
