"Did you bring it?"

"Sorry?"

"My hairband. Did you bring it like I asked?"

"I'm not one of the…I-I don't work here."

"My special hairband."

"I'm not one of your doctors."

"The one I made you steal from Mummy. It was the last thing I said to you remember? The day they took me away."

"Ah!"

Eurus watched as Mummy Holmes breathed a sigh of relief as she pulled out a box from her closet. The fire that had consumed much of Musgrave Hall, surprisingly spared much of Mummy's and Papa's things. They were removing as much salvageable items as they could. Inside the box was a hairband with pretty, pink, roses dotted around it. Eurus recognized it as something Mummy wore at her wedding, from the photos that were dotted around the house. Mummy was always so sentimental, it was just a hairband.

Eurus reached out to pick it up, but Mummy warned her not to take it. She said it was too delicate and did not want her to break it. She made the little girl promise not to touch it. Eurus promised and rolled her eyes behind her mother's back. Parents are so tedious. She could go in circles around them with their rules. If Eurus wanted to play with the hairband, ultimately, she would get to play with the hairband.

She knew what she had to do.

It was later in the day, until the last box was loaded into the hired van, that the Holmes family made their way to Uncle Rudi's house to stay, until a new house could be found. It was late in the afternoon when Eurus chose to strike. She made her way to Sherlock's room.

After the death of Redbeard, Sherlock had changed a lot. He seemed less emotional, more like her. Eurus could still make him do things, he was her favorite after all, but there was something new his eyes when he looked at her. She didn't know what it was. Was it fear? Either way she compelled him to find her favorite hairband, saying it was a game she was having with Mummy. He always loved games. He would find it and bring it back to her. As she was speaking she heard a loud thud coming from outside. She looked out the window and saw a man and a woman in hospital scrubs with her Uncle Rudi, slamming their car doors shut.

They were coming for her.

Eurus made sure Sherlock was gone on his errand before they reached her. She did not want for him to see her be taken away.
