Hey Everyone!

So this is an Idea I've had on the back burner for a long time and one that my dear friend and fellow author TheInspectorOfFluff has been wanting me to write for a while, so I finally decided to write it!

This idea came from one of the Inspector and Mine's favorite shows, The Great British Bake Off, Keoni, if you would please,

-Now then, cinnamon and clove add the spice to this delicious cake but please- and I cannot stress this enough- be careful with your filling!

-Make sure your filling is not TOO wet, then the whole thing together as you roll up will be perfectly aligned and you get that symmetry as you cut down that's associated with a perfect swiss roll.-

Raven watched in rapt attention as her favorite patissier of all time, Zander O'Connell, explained how to create the perfect pumpkin swiss roll; her own hands clumsily but steadily following his on the screen as he smiled charmingly at the camera.

-You'll want to be careful with how much filling you put in, because too much and you wont get that lovely catherine wheel, to little and it wont be scrummy-

Raven nodded as she slowly added the filling to her sponge, careful not to add to much, slowly rolling her swiss roll up tightly to get the swirl as instructed by Zander.

She didn't know why, but baking had always been an escape for her, when her father would come home in one of his moods, or she'd been bullied at school for being different than everyone else, baking a delicious cake with her mom always made her feel better, it was even better than meditating.

And even though she no longer had her mother's encouraging words whispered in her ear's Zander's sexy Irish voice was a good substitute.

shaking herself out of her thoughts she looked up just in time to see Zander finish his own roll, smiling at the camera as he took off his baby blue apron and set it delicately on the table next to him.

Raven's eye's widened at his words as she turned the volume up higher and sat aptly in front of her tv; both excited and anxious to hear what her idol had to say.

As he signed off, Raven grabbed her mother's old recipe box and smiled;

she had some more baking to do.
