This story doesn't *really* fit into the Avengers fandom, so I'm really sorry about that. This is the first poem I've written, so I'd appreciate any feedback that I can get! :)
Disclaimer: I don't own anything that is affiliated with Marvel.
When she got into the car that day
She thought that they were going to a play
She didn't know that she and her friend
Would soon be meeting their untimely end
They trusted me to keep them safe from danger
But I didn't see the blue Ford Ranger
They blew through the traffic sign
Drifted over the center line
I tried to brake, but my foot slipped
The car rammed us, and then we flipped
We rolled all the way off of the shoulder
And something under the hood started to smolder
I grabbed them both and dragged them out
Prayed to God that someone would hear us shout
Both of the girls collapsed on the ground
Neither one made a single sound
My body shook with silent cries
As I watched the light leave their eyes
All those who know them will be in sorrow
Their green eyes will never see tomorrow
So, what do you think? Is it absolutely terrible? Should I try to continue with poetry? I'd appreciate any suggestions I can get! Remember, this is my first poem, and I don't have any prior knowledge on how to write a poem. Reviews are much appreciated!
