THE REVELATION

As a avid fan of fanfiction I usually love the myriad of fanfiction stories. I recently got hooked on the wonderful Star Trek Enterprise stories. It being another show I had loved but as to many of the shows I love it was taken off the airways, after only 4 short seasons. I read a really good story called "THE VOW". Written by a great writer by the name Lunabeegood. The story was pure angst until the end. T'pol and Trip were recently married and on a sort of honeymoon. Yes I know Vulcans don't do honeymoons! Not that I totally believe that hogwash. But there was an accident and T'pol was hurt and subsequently lost the last 4 years of her memory. I would recommend anyone who has not read it to please read it is that good. But I felt that during a particular section when Trip is speaking with T'Les (T'Pol's mother), that felt something more should have been added. A revelation for T'Les to understand the human Charles Tucker behavior for his undying loyalty to her daughter. I would highly recommend that fans take the time to read the original story "The Vow". You won't be disappointed by Lunabeegood's great addition to the fans of Enterprise.

The Revelation.

Trip walked past her toward T'Pol's room, his bare feet slapping against the floor as he went.

"Do you love her?" T'Les asked him just before he reached T'Pol's closed door.

Trip turned to her and took a couple steps in T'Les' direction.

"Of course, I do," Trip said surely.

"Even after everything she has done to you?" T'Les asked.

"I don't like her much, right now," Trip admitted. "But I can't ever stop loving her. She's as much a part of me as…well, as I am."

"I find your actions curious, even after all the pain she has inflicted on you that you are still so loyal to her. Any other Vulcan would have walked away from her and the child. I do not comprehend the logic of your actions Commander." T'Les questioned.

"For your answer logic has nothing to do with this, Mamm. When T'pol and I were married I took a solemn marriage vow to how her and to remain at her side for better or worse during good times and bad. I take my marriage to your daughter just as seriously. Even with all the pain and suffering I will be at her side until death finally comes for me. "Replied Trip.

But I do not comprehend where you get the conviction and strength to withstand the pain even after all she has put you through, Commander. Replied T'Les.

"That Lady T'Les is the strength of a human emotion called love, T'pol is my heart and soul without her I am Incomplete. She is my Universe! , She is the air I breathe, I love her with the fierceness of a million suns.

T'Les took in the passion and fire that sat in Commander Tucker's eyes and could only respond by saying "Fascinating!"

Inwardly T'Les could only marvel at the loyalty the one Commander Charles Tucker had for her daughter. In some ways she felt a pang of jealousy at the strength of the affection, no love would be a better word to describe the sheer power that this human male felt for her daughter. Inwardly she wondered what it would be like to have someone in her own life who held her in the same regard and passion as this human male for her daughter.

Fascinating indeed!
