Three Simple Words
She's fed up. She's so damn fed up. Why does it seem like no one cares? They never seem to ask her those three simple words. Why not? Seriously, why not? Does it not look like she needs someone to ask her?
She is always the one who asks them. No one ever asks her. It's like no one cares. She cares for them, that's why she always tries to help. She wants them to know that they've got someone there for them.
She wants someone there for her. She wants someone to ask her those three simple words, and not be obligated to ask them. Why does only her counsellor care? Why doesn't anyone else care enough to ask?
She has her friends. They never ask. She has to tell them when she's having a bad day because they don't fucking notice. They're too wrapped up in their own lives to notice that their so-called friend is drowning. To notice that their so-called friend might not be there if things keep going the way they're going.
Some people do care. She just wishes that she could actually meet them. She just wishes that the only people who truly understood how she felt weren't people she had met over the internet. They weren't creepy old men. She could just tell by the way they spoke to her. They explained exactly what she was feeling and she hadn't told them herself. That was how she knew because only someone going through it could actually understand what it was like. You can't fake it.
They were her saviours. If she didn't have them she wouldn't know that people actually cared for her. If she didn't have them she might have done something stupid a long time ago.
She loves them because they care enough to ask three simple words.
'Are you okay?'
AN: So this is dedicated to my lovely friend Laura (xxlovely), because she got me out of the strange mood I was in yesterday. Also kind of for Katie (DramaticStarlet) and Sandy (sandy2x400), because they were there too. I love you guys. R&R
