"Is this real?" Jack whispered, and though he hadn't meant to say it aloud, though he wasn't speaking loudly, Hector heard him. And slowly the man's hips stilled, and Jack let out a whine as he wrapped a leg around Hector's legs and wiggled his hips slightly, to encourage the man to continue, but Hector didn't move, and Jack didn't open his eyes, because he knew he wouldn't be able to bear seeing what he was going to see if he opened his eyes.

"Aye, this be real Jaack." Hector reassured him, but Jack just moaned as he turned his face away, and Hector knew that moan. It was no moan of pleasure, and though it wasn't a moan of pain, it was a moan Hector despised hearing. Jack didn't believe him. He was exasperated.

"This can't be real," Jack whispered as he finally opened his eyes, though he didn't turn his gaze to Hector, but rather looked at the wall, "But this can't be hell." Jack observed, and Hector furrowed his brow, confused, "If this was hell... Ye wouldn't be here, mate." Hector wasn't sure what to say to that, as he'd been to hell once before, and he continued to stare at Jack, waiting for the other man to continue, but when he didn't Hector decided to prompt him to continue,

"Then what be it, Jaack?" he asked calmly, though his body was aching, screaming at him to move, he couldn't. He needed Jack to talk. He needed to tell the younger man that he was here. That they were both here. That they were alive. That they were... together.

"It's heaven." Jack's voice was strange in a way Hector had never heard before, and as Jack turned his head to look up at Hector again, finally, he was smiling, and it was such a soft, sweet, genuine smile, that Hector was taken aback that the younger pirate was directing it at him.

"Heaven?" Hector asked hesitantly, almost afraid to burst Jack's self-delusional bubble least the younger man turn his hate on him again (but he expected that would happen in due time regardless.).

"Of course," Jack murmured as Hector slowly cupped his cheek, "It has to be heaven. I have my ship," Jack blinked slowly, and Hector wondered if the fog was starting to clear, "Will, and Elizabeth. And best of all..." Jack slowly wrapped his fingers around Hector's wrist, "Heaven has you."

Hector was surprised, and a little shocked by Jacks words. He couldn't possibly fathom how the younger pirate could still care about him at all, but the way Jack was looking at him, with that soft smile, and those half lidded eyes, it was almost like Jack was... in love with him (again... still? Hector wasn't sure).

Hector chuckled suddenly, and Jack raised an eyebrow, obviously confused, "Jaack," he said softly as he dragged the pad of his thumb across Jack's lips, fully intending to correct the boy, but rather Jack held his wrist firmly, and his wicked tongue flicked out to lick at Hector's thumb.

Hector watched as Jack's eyes slid shut lazily, while the other pirate licked his thumb, almost hungrily, and quite suggestively, and Hector decided that the truth could wait until they were done, because Jack was right; This was heaven.
