A/N: So hey! I haven't written a fanfiction in what...two years? Wow, time really does fly. But I really wanted to write something and got this kinda random idea when I looked at my therapeutic colouring book things. So, I wrote this short little one-shot! It's definitely not the best thing in the world, especially since it's been almost two years since I properly wrote fanfiction, so I'm sorry for that. But I wanted to post this anyways because I really do miss the whole fanfiction writing community! I hope you enjoy!

Me: Disclaimer please Ash and Misty!

Ash and Misty: YellowDragonMuffin does not own the characters or anything else she could be sued for! Only the storyline!

Pikachu: Pika pi chu! (On with the story!)

"What are you doing?" Ash asked, sitting down next to Misty on the floor of their Pokémon center room.

"Colouring," Misty replied, simply, focusing on staying within the lines of the bird drawing in front of her.

"Colouring? Isn't that for kids? Ha, and you call me a kid," Ash jeered.

Misty furrowed her brow, putting the lid back on her yellow felt tip pen and placing it back into her pencil case. "It's relaxing. Not that you would understand, you're constantly angry and defensive."

"AM NOT!" Ash jumped up, immediately taking on a defensive stance.

"You're just proving me right." Misty chuckled.

"Oh, right." the boy seated himself again, crossing his legs and looking at the half-finished colouring with a puzzled expression. "So, why are you colouring? Seems a little immature for you."

"Like I said: it's relaxing. Therapeutic."

"How so?"

"I don't know the science, or even if there is any science. All I know is that it gives me something to focus on without any real meaning. If I mess it up, it doesn't really matter. But it can still divert me from everything else and de-stress me," Misty explained, silently deciding which colour to use for the bird's feathers.

There was a pause as they both stared at the colouring.

"Red."

"What?"

"Red for the feathers, dontcha think?" Ash said, hoping he hadn't made a completely ridiculous suggestion.

"Yeah, actually, red is perfect! Thanks, Ash, I didn't actually expect you to make such a good suggestion," Misty replied, cheekily, rummaging through her pencil case for a red pen that worked as Ash rolled his eyes as the comment.

As Misty set back to work on her colouring, Ash stayed seated beside her, watching the pen make perfect little strokes, never once a splodge of ink out of place.

"Can I help you?" questioned Misty, looking over to the brown eyed boy.

"It's just, uh-"

"Do you want to do some colouring? I have another book." before he could reply, Misty was already up, rummaging through her backpack for her other colouring book.

She set the book down on the floor in front of Ash, already having opened it to the picture she wanted him to colour in.

Ash looked down, staring at the picture, quizzically. "A bike?"

"Yes, a bike. So you know what one looks like for when you finally buy me my replacement!"

"Oh not this again!"

A/N: I did it! I wrote a fanfiction again! Even if I do think the characters may have been OOC and the story is pretty short, I still did it! And after two years of not doing it and wanting to, I'm proud of myself for that. I really do hope you enjoyed this anyways, feel free to leave a review/favourite/whatever - they are always massively appreciated! Thank you!
