Even if I don't have the game in my hands yet (Europe always get these games after America…), I still wanted to begin writing stories about this game. So I kind of spoiled the whole game for myself, but it doesn't matter – I'm going to enjoy it so much anyway.

I'll use the default name, Robin, for the avatar. The default Robin has white hair, but I'll change that a bit and use blonde instead, since I think that it fits better. I hope that you will enjoy reading this and future stories!

"Robin, watch out!"Chrom shouted as he jumped in front of her to shield her from the incoming attack. He used the Falchion to pierce through the enemy Barbarian.

"Chrom! I should have been more careful! Are you hurt?" Robin asked as she desperately looked around for Lissa or Maribelle.

"No, I'm fine. It would have been worse if you had taken that hit." Chrom smiled at her as he used a Vulnerary on his wounds.

Robin sighed as she looked at his wounds in concern. She put down her magic tome on the ground and then carefully unloosened her hair ribbons. Carefully, she wrapped them around Chrom's arm that was bleeding.

"Robin, your hair…" Chrom muttered, pointing to her blonde hair.

"It will be a bit impractical compared to my pigtails, but I'll survive." she said, smiling widely.

"Hey you two lovebirds!" Lissa shouted, waving her hand to catch their attention. "The enemy general is down!"

"We're not in love at all!" Robin protested as she began to walk towards Lissa and the other in the army. "How many times have I told you that?!"

"Oh, is that so? That's too bad – you are a perfect match! And you're blushing too!" Lissa giggled.

Another sigh escaped Robin's mouth. Of course she had a special relation to Chrom, since she was the army's tactician and he was the leader, but she was sure that she didn't feel anything at all for him. Nothing more than friendship. But of course everyone in the army had to assume that they were a couple. Why did they do that?

Robin was sure that she didn't have any feelings for anyone. It was war after all – she didn't have the time to care about love at all. She was the tactician and she was responsible for the army in many ways and a small mistake could cost many lives. That's what she thought in the beginning though…

"Chrom, I baked you a pie!" Sumia beamed.

"Thank you Sumia! You're so thoughtful." Chrom said as he accepted the pie.

"I won't disturb you anymore. I'm sorry for interrupting your tactical meeting Robin!" Sumia apologized.

"No, it's okay!" Robin said as Sumia left the tent.

The pie spread a soothing scent in the room. Chrom was grinning like a child as he looked at the pie. Robin looked down at the wooden table, her heart aching a little. She didn't really know why, but she felt sad when she saw how happy Sumia was when she talked with Chrom. Usually, she would smile at them and comment on how good they looked together, but now it hurt deep inside of her. It couldn't be love – she was sure that it wasn't. Not now.

"Robin, are you okay?" Chrom asked. He was holding a large map in his hands.

"A-ah… I'm sorry. I was… t-thinking." Robin stuttered as she was awakened from her deep thoughts.

"About what?" Chrom curiously asked.

"T-the battle formation." she lied. "We're going to face Gangrel and I have to be prepared…"

"You're working so hard Robin. Be sure to take care of yourself."

"Stop."
"Stop with what?" Chrom frowned. "You're acting really strange today, Robin…"

"Stop being so nice. You're so selfless Chrom and it's… just… please do take care of yourself too?" Robin mumbled, her cheeks turning red as she lowered her voice.

Robin avoided Chrom's gaze as she pretended to look at the maps. He stubbornly tried to get eye contact with her, but she turned away her head every time.

"Ah, Chrom!" Lissa happily said as she suddenly entered the tent. "Aren't you happy? You and Sumia are a perfect couple!"

"Lissa, how did you—" Chrom was cut off by Lissa's giggle.

"I got Sumia to tell me about it. You proposed to her last night, right?" Lissa asked, putting her hand on her brother's shoulder. "Good job!"

"Lissa, I'm discussing tactics with Robin right now!" Chrom gently pushed away his sister. "Please come back later."

"Robin doesn't seem to min—"

It just happened suddenly – her heart began aching even more and it felt like Lissa's words had pierced right through her heart. Still, she was sure that she didn't feel anything for Chrom at all. But why did the tears stream down her face? Was she in love with him? That was impossible, right?

"Robin, why are you crying? Did someone hurt you?!" Chrom immediately rushed to her side, trying to find any wounds.

"No, I-I'm fine… I…" Robin quickly wiped her tears. "I j-just… I've been so tired these days, so my mind is a bit foggy. I don't know why I suddenly began crying. Sorry that I made you worry."

"Gosh Robin, please don't scare me like that!" Lissa walked towards Robin, her face showing a hint of sympathy.

"I-I'm fine, I said!" Robin said as she tried to smile.

Lissa and Chrom looked at each other for a second before looking at Robin with concern. Both of them were sure that it wasn't "nothing". Lissa whispered something to Chrom and the moment after that, Chrom left the tent.

"Robin…" Lissa sighed.

"What is it? Why did Chrom leave? I'm fine – really!" Robin assured her, laughing awkwardly.

"You like Chrom, don't you?" Lissa bluntly asked.

"What?!"

A short silence occurred before Lissa sighed again. Robin's gaze dropped down on the floor as she opened her mouth to protest.

"No, I'm not. How many times do I have to tell you that?" she weakly said, almost whispering.

"Then why are you so sad?" Lissa asked, still sure that Robin was in love.

"I'm just tired. Chrom is my friend. I don't have any other feeling for him." Robin explained, her heart aching more with every word that she said.

"Then, please rest…" Lissa said, pointing to the blanket at the side of the table.

"Thank you Lissa. Then, I'll just take a short nap and then I will be the usual cheerful Robin again!"

"Okay… I'll leave you then~" Lissa's voice hid disappointment.

She could hear how Vaike was shouting outside as Lissa left the tent. The moment after that, everything was silent again. And she was completely alone in the tent, not knowing what she truly felt. Did she really like Chrom? No, she was sure that she was only tired. Maybe a short nap really would help with changing her mood. Maybe it was just a hex that someone had cast on her just for fun.

After all, she was the tactician and Chrom was the leader. It would never work.

So, it's a bit short, but it's just to start the story. The story will focus on Robin and Chrom of course, but will have character interactions in between the different events.

I hope that you liked it! Please tell me if you have anything to say about the story!
