Say it, please.
It was silent. Dead silent. The snow outside the fogged window, falling slowly yet in fat little clumps, only seemed to preserve the fact. It held a sighing boy's attention, at least. Due to a sudden snowstorm and cold temperatures well below the freezing point, most schools in the area were closed for the day. Ouran included. At first, the Hitachiins just saw this as an excuse to not do much for the day. It ended up just like that. They found themselves trying anything and everything to get some kind of reaction from the maids that would make the whole trouble worthwhile. They failed. Horribly. And all their shenanigans only took up about two hours of their free day. Hikaru saw it as waste of time to continue.
The window fogged up a little more when the older of the two sighed deeply for about the twelfth time in an hour. This had been what their day had been reduced to: staring out a window on the bed, and reading a book. Hikaru glanced over to his younger brother, who was still in the same position he had been in for the past half hour. Earlier, he had been lying down, Hikaru noted. His brother's silence finally got to him.
"Hey, Kaoru?" The boy's voice faintly cracked for a moment from no verbal communication for the longest time. Kaoru just turned the page of his book, not bothering to fully acknowledge his brother.
"Yes, Hikaru?" A slight sift in the way he was sitting; Kaoru let his legs dangle over the side of the bed, still focused on the small book.
With a satisfied sigh, Hikaru scooted away from the window and closer to his brother. He sat right behind him, wrapped his arms around Kaoru's waist, and hid his face between his brother's neck and shoulder. A long, yet innocent kiss was placed there.
"It's nothing," He muttered against the skin, "I just wanted to hear you say my name."
Kaoru just faintly laughed a little, and leaned back just slightly against his older brother; a content smile in his face. He took the book in his left hand and ran his fingers through Hikaru's hair gently with the other, still somewhat reading now.
"Pervert," Kaoru said jokingly. His smile grew warmer, when Hikaru laughed at that and pulled him back.
