This story starts one year after initiation ends, they prevented the war, Tris and Tobias haven't had sex yet. Tris is an initiate trainer with Tobias, Uriah and Christina train the Dauntless borns.
Tris POV
Today is Tobias's birthday, I told him I had to work all day because Tori had a family event. When really, Tori is covering for me so I can give him an amazing birthday. I'm going shopping with Christina to get him the perfect gift, and later tonight I want to get over my seventh fear.
"Ooh we'll go here," says Christina as we approach a store that sells lingerie. "If you're going to get over your fear tonight, you're gonna want some new underwear."
She picks out a white lace bra and matching underwear, I roll my eyes at her, but she makes me buy them anyway.
When we reach my apartment, I can hear the television loudly through the door. I open the door quietly and Christina helps me get ready for his surprise. She puts together my new outfit, the underwear she picked out earlier, a black crop top, and black booty shorts. I put on the outfit and walk down the hallway to the bedroom. But when I open the door I see why the T.V. was so loud, to drown out the groaning. Tobias and Marlene were having sex on our bed. Tobias looks up and sees me, he opens his mouth to explain, but I run out of the apartment as fast as I can. I don't stop running until I get to Christina's apartment.
