Mina remembered the first time that they made love, like it was yesterday. Ryan's long, tan legs felt like silk beneath her fingertips. She loved the way Ryan's curls caressed her face as they kissed. She felt an electricity run through her body with every kiss or stroke. She had never taken pleasure in kissing a man's body, just in being kissed. But she couldn't get the taste of Ryan out of her mouth. She realized now that she wanted Ryan more than she ever wanted anyone, that maybe she was even in love. Was it too late?

After that day, they avoided each other like the plague. That night with Ryan, it just sort of happened. Mina had never even kissed a woman before. Sure she had thought about it, but didn't everyone go through one of those phases? Didn't Kay Perry say that she'd kissed a girl and liked it? These thoughts ran through her head, and more. She wondered if Ryan was thinking the same thing.

When they finally talked about it, they agreed to disregard, forget that it had ever happened. It was not what Mina wanted, not at all, but she wasn't about to put it all out there for a woman who didn't want to be with her. Mina was so confused, and she had never felt so lonely.

It was late at night, and the clinic had been closed for a long time, but Mina still sat on the steps. Ryan walked up.

"What are you still doing here?" asked Ryan, sitting down next to her.

"Just thinking," Mina replied.

"I've been doing a lot of thinking too. About what happened to us."

"I thought we agreed that we were going to disregard that?"

"Yeah, but I don't want to. Do you?"

"No."

"Mina, I don't want Ben, or any other guy for that matter. I want you."

"I want you too."

They held each other for a very long time.

Ryan and Mina knew that not everyone would understand their relationship, and that they had a long journey ahead of them. However, for now, it felt nice to finally be with the one who made you feel truly alive.
