PART ONE:
As Eureka anxiously waited for Renton to arrive home, she stood there in the kitchen, looking through the window, watching to see when he got home from work. As she seen him pull up in their driveway, step out of the car, and walk up towards their house, she could feel the excitement build up in her. As Renton opened the door of the house, he said, "Eureka, I'm h-", but before he could even finish the sentence, Eureka had ran and jumped into his arms and kissed him. Renton knew something must have been going on, because he could tell that Eureka was very excited. "What's going on, My love?" Renton asked his wife. "Well, Renton, I have very good news to share with you." Eureka said. "What is it, oh, please tell me, Eureka!" he said as he became excited. As she guided him to sit down, they both could not control their smiles. "I'm pregnant!!!" Eureka said. "Really?! Oh, Honey, that's great!!!" They we're both overcome with happiness and joy.
PART TWO:
It was Eureka's third month of her pregnancy. Everyday Renton and Eureka grew more and more anxious to finally see their sweet precious angel. Eureka's belly was just starting to show that she was pregnant. She was even starting to have these strange cravings for chocolate, pickles, chips, and ice cream! Day by day, there little angel was growing bigger and bigger, as so was Eureka! This would be one of the greatest times of their lives!.
PART THREE:
Renton and Eureka exchanged exciting glances. Eureka was about 5 months pregnant and had to come to see her doctor for her monthly visit. As always, Renton came along. This was their first child and he wanted to know how the baby- and Eureka- were doing. Besides, today was a special day. Last month, the doctor said that they would try to hear the baby's heart beat today. The doctor had been asking Eureka questions about how she felt in the past month. As she finished writing down Eureka's answers, the mother-and father-to-be could hardly contain themselves. Then the doctor looked up from her paper with a smile on her face and said "Are you ready?". The doctor listened first and said "Oh, we've got a good, strong heartbeat!". Then Eureka and Renton listened too. There it was- the rapid thump, thump, thump of their baby's heart! Smiles broke out on their faces, as they both felt a sense of awe. The reality of the new life they had created began to sink in. . .
