Dreams of the Flock
Maximum Ride Chapter: 2 Nudge
"Five minuets till show time Monique." Said the show manager. It was so weird being called Monique, Nudge thought to herself. She remembered being called Nudge when she was with the flock.
"I wonder what they have been up to?" She had said aloud
"What are you talking about? Who are you talking to?", said Lilly
"Oh don't worry about I was just thinking about my old friends I use to hang out with in the old neighborhood."
"Which neighborhood? I lived in a suburban neighborhood with most of my best friends like Billy, Bob, Sasha and Sally." For the first time Nudge had realized Lilly (like herself) was a motor mouth she could go on and on and on about something as simple as trees, maybe that's why her and Lilly were best friends and now run a talk show where people come on talk about their problems and "Monique" and Lilly help them with their problems.
"Umm well it was a small neighborhood." Said Nudge thinking fast.
"Oh ok." She said
"Ok we need everyone on stage now!" Yelled the stage manager "Thirty seconds people!" He said his long black hair in his face this is always the most uptight he gets. Normally he just sits around glum looking but had this thing where no matter what everyone would be calm.
"Reminds me of Fang." She said aloud.
"What?! Your making no sense," how does my hair and makeup look?" "Hurry up Monique there's no time for babble show starts in fifteen seconds!" She said stressed out.
We were all rushing around I quickly walked over to my seat and sat down Lilly sitting next to me. "Three ... two."
"Welcome to the 'Monique and Lilly show' we said together.
"On this episode we will be talking to Dan about him and his wife and where it went wrong." I said in my very courteous talk show host voice which is very good if I may say so my self.
"Ok Dan, where do you feel you and your wife went wrong?"
"Well honestly I really don't know where it wrong" said Dan
"Well we have a bit of a surprise for you Dan." Said Lilly. Right then walked in Jen his wife.
"Take a seat." I said. "Ok Jen where do you feel your relationship went wrong?
"Well he spent no time with me whatsoever. Oh and don't even get me started when a football game or basketball game or even a flippin' golf game came on a golf game he would sit in front of the TV and yell at it as if the people could hear him. And as he eats Cheetos and Sloppy Joes and all those other messy foods on my white couch WHITE and it was just unbelievably UGH I just can't live with him!"
"But that's all men that's something all newly wed women have to go through Jen. You shouldn't push him away because of the men's primal instinct we have a need to be clean and neat but they don't push us away and that's because opposites attract." Said Lilly
"Well I don't feel that I should have to clean up after him all the time."
"I understand." I said
"Plus I just cant be with him there is something I've been hiding ..."
"Hey sweetie up and edam breakfast in ten."
I blinked my brown eyes struggling to focus on who I guessed was max.
"What?" I mumbled
"Another day time to get up and face it." she said oh so caringly
I groaned leaning up into a crumpled but technically upright position.
"I wonder what she was hiding?" I said under my breath not meaning to be heard
"Oh well guess I'll never know."
