Edward held his Bella close as they turned in lazy circles. She was smiling contentedly, and he smiled too; happy that she was happy. Unfortunately his vampire mind was capable of thinking of a lot of things at once, and he couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them.

He knew their relationship was dangerous, that he should just leave her be, but he couldn't make himself go. He'd decided long ago to throw caution to the winds and be with her. She sighed and he automatically pulled her closer, he knew he couldn't live without her. But he knew it was selfish, and one day it all had to end.

It was strange, how fate decided things should play out. He was so very very close to being totally and completely happy, but in the end it was all for nothing; one day she would leave him, and he had no idea how he would stay sane. He would follow her, he supposed.
He knew what Bella would say if she heard what he was thinking. "Edward Cullen, stop moping, do you hear me? It's not about anything but us and the moment, ok?" And she was right. He would solve any problems, cross any bridges when they came to them, and he didn't intend to let her go any time soon.
