40 Miles from the Sun
Maeve walked into the dark castle, holding onto her sword, awaiting for her attacker. She looked up and heard a familiar cackle.
"Rumina! Show yourself!" Maeve yelled
"My, my you do have arrogance to come here" Rumina appeared
"I'm here to send you back to hell!"
"I don't think so little girl"
A light shone down onto a figure, starely blankly out into space.
"Sinbad!" Maeve walked closer to see if it was really him
His blue eyes were so hallow and empty, as if his soul were already gone.
"Yes, it's him alright" Rumina laughed
"Release him demon!" Maeve drew her sword and pointed it at her neck
"He's mine! And he'll always be mine!"
"B**ch!" Maeve swung her sword to slice off Rumina's head when a body stepped in front of her. Maeve stopped. Sinbad stood there, protecting Rumina.
"Sinbad, get out of the way!" Maeve yelled
"He's mine now, forever" Rumina wrapped her arms around him
"I'll kill you for this!" Maeve yelled
"You can't!" Rumina laughed as her arms wrapped around Sinbad's neck like a snake.
Maeve looked at Sinbad, so dead inside. His eyes were hallow. There was nothing inside of him. It was just a shell she was staring at. His eyes were still the same, alluring, and deep. Why? Why did you follow me? Why did you come?
"Do it Maeve send me back, but you'll know that you sent him back as well!"
"No! I won't! He's not like you!"
"Yes he is, now" Rumina turned Sinbad around and moved his lovely brown hair to reveal that there was a small puncture wound at the base of his neck.
"He is one of us now. He has no soul. He's just like me!" Rumina laughed
Sinbad's body started to change, his veins sprung out and became exposed onto the outside. His skin turned to an ugly dark green. But his eyes, his eyes remained the same.
Maeve almost dropped her sword.
"Sinbad...what has she done to you?" Maeve barely spoke out
"I love her" Sinbad finally said
"You what?" Maeve suprised
"I love her, she said the only way for me to be with her is to be like her" Sinbad stated coldly
"You love her?" Maeve choked
Maeve felt her heart smashing into tiny pieces, into dust. She felt this pain in her chest, she coudln't breathe, she couldn't do anything. Rumina laughed evily, she got what she wanted. No matter what Sinbad would always be hers.
"He loves me not you!" Rumina smiled
"No, you tricked him I know it!"
"You know the rules, I can't change or turn anyone against their will, he choose to, freely"
"Sinbad, how could you?"
"Face it Maeve, you lost!" Rumina hissed
"No!"
Maeve held onto her sword with an iron grip.
"I cast you out evil demon. I cast you out! I send you back to the underworld where you belong vile creature! Begone!" She pointed her sword at them, a bright light shot out and engulfed both of them before it dispersed.
And when the light faded, Maeve was left there alone. She fell to the ground, and dropped her sword. It was over. The demoness was sent back to hell where she belonged.
"You lost Maeve" a voice said from above
"I didn't, I sent the evil back"
"No you lost as a woman" the voice faded and left
Maeve sat there on the ground, as she felt the tears fall down her cheeks. She had lost. She lost Sinbad... And somewhere in the dark underworld, there is a familiar cackle laughing.
"My Sinbad, mine forever and ever" Rumina rested her head on his chest.
