FASH: I am such a sucker for a good idea and the prompt from kirskipkat on live journal was so adorable that I couldn't resist. I have no willpower, clearly.

Sakuraba had only just stepped out of a convenience store when he caught sight of something that made him duck back inside the building so he could watch, very incognito, through the store's glass door.
Shin and Sena were walking together and Shin was wearing his track suit. They weren't running or jogging and they didn't even appear to be talking about any games or strategies or other matters that would have the younger boy looking just as serious as Sakuraba's stoic team mate. They were just walking, normally.
Perhaps this wouldn't seem like a big deal to anyone who didn't know the pair, or even to a person who knew Sena quite well. But what was important was that Sakuraba had known Shin since middle school and Shin rarely, if ever, stopped to take a break when he was training.
And Shin was wearing his blue outfit, therefore he must have been training.
Before the pair managed to disappear from his sight Sakuraba had stepped back out of the convenience store, ignoring the looks some of the other patrons inside were sending him, and began trailing the two other football players.
Sena appeared to be talking of something that excited him greatly and Shin would nod every once in a while, sometimes even gracing Sena with a vocal answer.
'Shin doesn't appear to be taking a break, since he's actually participating in the conversation. But why would he stop training just to talk to Sena-kun?'
The answer smacked him in the face so hard that his step faltered and he almost tripped over, the obviousness of the situation making him wonder how the hell he hadn't seen it before.
'Shin likes Sena-kun.' He repeated inwardly to himself and he found that, despite how clueless he'd been about the situation seconds before, the thought didn't seem strange to him at all.
'And this is probably the closest thing to a date Shin's ever had.'
Despite his better judgement he continued to follow them curiously, straining his ears to try and pick up the conversation.
He managed to catch something about cats, a ball of twine, and something named Pitt.
Conversation that Shin would have never bothered trying to participate in if he wasn't completely enamoured with the person talking.
The more he followed them, the more Sakuraba couldn't believe how he'd not seen this coming.
Then they reached an intersection.
"Sena-kun." Shin spoke up and the brunette turned to him, ready and waiting to hang onto any and all of Shin's words as if they were the last vestiges of wisdom coming from the Gods themselves.
"Remember, you must hold hands when crossing the street."
Sakuraba resisted the urge to face-palm and noticed that even Sena seemed to be a little shocked at the reminder.
He had half expected the brunette to gently remind Shin that they were in high school, not elementary school, but instead Sena just nodded and held his hand out to Shin expectantly.
The blonde wouldn't be too surprised if Shin insisted they keep holding hands even after they crossed the street, claiming that they should do so in order to not get separated.
'Oh Shin,' He began thinking with slight exasperation, a smile tugging at his lips, 'if Sena-kun wasn't so oblivious, you would be completely transparent.' Then he turned away, figuring he had looked in on Shin's 'first date' long enough.
