Loyalty

Flicking her pencil on the desk, a quiet thudding from the darkened eraser. Rereading over and over the message that would soon be incomprehensible. 'Is my face that frightening...?' Echoing throughout her brain, filling creases with similar negative thoughts. Looking at the mirror in front of her face, she gazed at those emerald eyes. Appearing behind her was Alfred. "Doctor.." The woman gazed into his glaring glasses. "Maria.." Alfred arms snaked around her torso.

"May I dispose of these materials myself?" Maria steadily picked up the bloody entrails, falling onto the floor. "Before that.." Alfred dug a hand through his short hazel hair before offering his arms out. She took the oppurtunity to embrace the man, dropping all non-functioning organs. Blood rushed onto her mocha cheeks. "Doctor, she's aware of our relationship." She whispered as her head rested on Alfred's shoulder. "Not only that but she dislikes me. That's a big problem." Maria pulled away from the hug, dizzy. "She's at her ripe age, please be kind to her. Gaining her trust is one way to reel her into our grasp. Now, please help me clean up this mess." He grabbed handfuls of the viscera. "Yes sir!"

In the poorly lit room, the walls reeked of decay and blood. Falling down onto the ground was his wife. "Doctor, I have the next exper-..!" Maria took a step back. Glass shattered as Alfred dropped the bottle. "You killed the mistress' mother.. How is she going to take this?" She lowered her head, peering at the soaked floor. "Monika concerned herself with business she didn't need to stick her nose in and this is where it got her. We can finally be together, Maria." His mouth materialized a smug grin. Those beautiful viridescent eyes came back into view. "Tell Aya that her mother has died of a horrid accident." Alfred turned around, facing Monika. "I can't.." A small whisper erupted from her mind. "What do you mean? Are you going against my orders?" Folding his arms, he shook his head in disapproval.

"Mistress, what would you like for dinner?" Maria washed the last dish, placing it on the rack. "What does father want?" Aya bounced upon the kitchen tiles, afraid to look into her jade eyes. "He wanted me to ask you." Dragging out pans and pots, she put them on the stove. "Oh! I love your beef stu, Maria!" Her black hair curled as she landed on the floor. "Thank you, mistress. I will make your beef stu." Her red lips formed a smile.

"AYA~!" Alfred's voice screamed throughout the walls and corridors. "Mistress, can you help me?" Maria tried to stand up but automatically fell. Aya ran to the woman, lending her a shoulder. Roping an arm around her waist, they ran out of the room. "AYA~!" Alfred came up from behind them. Suddenly, he was shot down from the coffin. A blonde boy walked out, carrying an arrow. "Aya, get out of the house. I'm burning it from all the sins this man has commit." He stood in front of Aya. With a nod, she ran out with Maria. "Mistress, aren't you sad? All these memories are going to be long gone." She whispered to the black haired female, leaning down. "I'm sad and I'm really going to miss him but this is for his own good." Aya established a sad smile. 'An interesting girl, indeed.' Maria thought, sitting down right next to her.
