A/N This is dedicated to all who lost their lives that fateful day in 2001, whether they were on one of the planes or in one of the World Trade Center Towers, or The Pentagon, or were trying to rescue ones at Ground Zero, it is also dedicated to all of the survivors. You will never be forgotten nor will that date. Like Pearl Harbor on December 7th 9/11 will be a date which will live in infamy.

Inspired
by three songs that were written in honor of the lost lives
on 9/11 "Courtesy Of The Red, White and Blue(The Angry
American), "Have You Forgotten?" "Where Were
You(When The World Stopped Turning)?" and a book written about 9/11 as well as the tragedy that took place on that day.

No disrespect is intended to anyone with this writing I assure you. These words just came to me today while I was listening to a song on the radio and I had to put them down. May we all be able to live in peace, that would be a honorable way to have a lasting tribute, don't you think? And if you don't that is your privilege. Be well all.

Disclaimer: I make no profit off of anything or anyone related to 9/11 or any of the victims or survivors of that day no infringement is intended.

They hovered in the air and the wind watching over the sites that had been hit. You could see their spirits as they did their best to be ever vigilant watching over us all.

Why this horror had to happen nobody can really explain. All you knew was you would never forget where you were that day. You would never forget thinking this has to be some kind of joke, then remember the cries and screams when you found out it was a living nightmare.

So many perished that day, some into the towers, some into the pentagon, others went down in a Pennsylvania field.
No that was not where the last plane was destined for, many say it was to take out the White House but the captives on the plane had different ideas.

People called them heroes when the story was told of how one or more described what the plan was to be. Families had been called, I love yous were said for one last time. Tears were shed but never would their lost loved ones ever be off of their minds.

So many of us in this country found out there is hell on earth as we watched that terror play out on our television screens. Some of us to this day still can not believe it ever happened. To explain it to children who asked was so difficult because you honestly could not even begin to understand it yourself!

Songwriters wrote down our feelings in their own words songs that helped us get through that dark and terrible time that will be forever etched in our memories.

We hope and pray that there never will be another time such as that again, yet you just never know where next some people with such a dark heart will strike.

We found that we were not alone when the world mourned with us. Finally we heard years later that the alleged mastermind behind it all was finally taken down. Tears flowed once again as we felt some sense of relief, gratitude, and even a sense of victory but never would his death compensate for all those lost.

The last words heard from one were "Let's Roll" and then they were gone.

So now they are gone yet they are not, for they watch over us still those guardian angels.
