One day, Taranza, the spider-like child of the Floralian Betula, and the Halcandran Carobno, was heading into the Sectra Palace in Floralia. He was a popular subject of Queen Sectonia for his magical abilities and jesting. Taranza blushed as he walked in. He had a crush on Queen Sectonia, but was too scared to tell her, too scared that she and her other subjects would turn on him.

The queen looked remarkably like Taranza. In fact, she was a Flalcandran too. She always hid this away, petrified that if anyone found out, she wouldn't be on the throne anymore. She wouldn't be able to see her knight Taranza then.

'Ahh.' the queen sighed as Taranza floated in. He was so charming and funny. She would never forget the night they danced together at the palace ball. Then, she had a sudden thought. What would he think if he found out that she was a Flalcandran? Would their beautiful friendship shatter like a mirror?

'No!' Sectonia screamed out loud. Then she went back to thinking. No, she couldn't think. That thought was too horrible to bear.

'Is something wrong, my lady?' asked Taranza in a concerned tone.

'No, no. I just had a bad thought, that's all.' stated Sectonia truthfully.

'Just remember that you can always talk to me if anything's wrong,' said Taranza comfortingly.

'I…I will,' the queen replied.

Taranza entertained everyone with his antics. He brought paintings and clouds to life. He animated a statue and made it say hello. He temporarily possessed one of the Floralians in the crowd.

He entertained almost everyone anyway. Dark Meta Knight, although he was trapped in the Dimension Mirror, could send out a shadow to observe Queen Sectonia. He knew that she'd be an excellent tool for his revenge. From inside the Dimension Mirror, Dark Meta Knight let out an evil laugh.

The shadow impaled Taranza with a sword made out of mirrors, causing him to droop to the ground weakly.

'Taranza. No!' Sectonia wailed.

No one else was concerned for his safety, however. The blood oozing out of him was a mixture of green and purple.

'He's a Halcandran!' yelled a Floralian. 'The race we hate!'

It was too late. The secret was out.
