He wrapped his arms around her hugging her for the first time. Her body stilled as that moment felt forever he gently whispered "I loved you" and "Thank You."
Knowing, hoping she hadn't heard him he released his hold unaware of her feelings. She smiled at him, at them. His fiancée right by his side wishing them a happy marriage a happy life. Knowing that he is happy makes her happy.
Acting as if this event was just a usual greeting she fond over them one more time secretly angry, secretly sad, though he wouldn't know. For only happiness shown through her face.
She left them as they merrily chatted with others. He gave her one last glance hoping she would do the same but she didn't and he laughed ignoring the empty feeling as he hug his girl tightly. Yes. It is as it should be.
Indifference is what she felt. Her feelings lost but her smile stayed strong. It only faltered when she stepped outside the building. And she laughed because that's all she had left. No remorse. Nothing but the small bud of happiness one she would cling to until her heart could grow again.
After all It's as it should be.
