I absolutely hate Mary Sues –twichtwich- hate them!
Disclaimer: I don't own Furuba. If I did, I wouldn't be here, complaining about Mary Sues, I'd be rolling around in my money. Sigh…
Oh, and it's a poem, a rhyming one. Hopefully witty and sarcastic.
UPDATE: 26/07/10 Wow, it's been awhile. A much belated thanks to everyone who reviewed, much appreciated. :D A few of raised some very good points about Mary Sues, and I'm glad there are people who share my opinion. :P
So, I've worked out there are 3 basic types of Sues in the Fruits Basket universe. 1. The long lost twin sister (below). 2. The American Exchange student & 3. Another Sohma zodiac member (Year of the duck or something lol). I've been thinking of writing two more chapters with these subjects, do you guys think I should? :s
On the subject of Mary Sues, I read 'My Immortal'. PFFTHAHAHA-
Ode to a Mary Sue
There's a new Sohma in town, with a zodiac form.
Tired and hungry, she arrived in a storm.
Separated in childhood, she's Yuki's twin sister!
She's finally back, good god how he's missed her!
She might be a wolf, or a cute little lambie,
And we know she'll help Yuki get close to brother, Ayame!
Yuki feels like he's got his 'other half' back,
He knows that she's brilliant; she's not at all slack!
She's athletic as he is; she beat him in a fight!
She looks exactly like he does, the boys love the sight!
When all the guys see her, they go into a trance,
But the one thing they'll notice, is the tent in their pants!
She's pretty and rich, with a lovely, kind heart.
She's funny and witty, and totally smart.
She's replaced Yuki at the top of the class!
Classmates are confused, they think it a farce.
Then she meets Kyo, his heart is alight,
She conquers that Kitty, without much of a fight.
Soon she's got Orangey, kissing her feet!
Kagura's not happy, it'll be bad if they meet!
'She's better than Tohru, she's not at all muck,'
'And holy Bejaysus, she knows how to f***!'
Kyo says these words, adorned with praise,
And our Mary Sue is sent into a daze.
She's fiery, she's charming, she's Tohru's best friend,
And they all want her stay here never to end!
Enter Akito, to end all the fun,
But our Mary Sue, got that family head on the run!
They just can't believe it, she's saved the day!
The Sohma's are un-cursed, they all shout 'Hooray!'
And Honda congratulates her, on what she was able to do,
As no one's as perfect as our Mary Sue.
Her name might be Sumi, or Yumi, or Jane,
But we readers agree that she's really a pain.
