The young girl pulled herself out of the forbidden forest. As she trudged across the field she pulled the twigs and leafs out of her hair. She was exhausted any standards, but continued marching with purpose until she made it to the front doors. She barely noticed how they were different to the doors she was used to. As the doors opened up she could see it was past curfew. She walked past the great hall and right past a confused squib, who confused her just as much. She couldn't recall and squibs in the castle, but she forgot about it as it made no difference and continued on. She ended up at the headmaster's statue. She stated the password he had given her all those years ago but, it didn't work. He must have changed it. So she knocked on the panel to the left, and waited. The statue eventually turned into a set of stairs, which she let take her up to the office. The fire in the corner was the first thing she noticed, it made the room nice and toasty something she had missed very dearly. She walked up to the headmaster's desk where he currently had his head down. His beard had grown as of late she noted. She waited for him to look up and when he did she was confused. She looked around thoughtfully and the cleared her throat hesitantly asking "Excuse me is headmaster Dippet available?"
The look the man -who most certainly wasn't headmaster- was one if shock and confusion "I'm sorry my dear but Dippet is no longer headmaster"
"What do you mean no longer headmaster, I am sorry but I do not understand I know that I have been missing for a couple of months but not that much could have changed."
This man the imposter of Dippet with a longer beard had a flash if realization "Ahh Miss Carling Hawthorne how nice of you to join us once again"
"P-p-professor Dumbledore!" she stated. How could it be that her sort of young transfiguration teacher had aged so much "forgive me for sounding brash but have you by chance drunk an aging potion?"
He chuckled whole heatedly then had a small sad smile on his face. "I am afraid there are some things you need to be caught up on"
