I do not own Percy Jackson, or any of Rick's wonderful work.
Please be honest with the reviews this is my first story and I can't do better if my mistakes aren't pointed out.
Enjoy!
Chapter 1
My name is Elena di Angelo, and I am a demigod. For those of you who didn't pay attention in class, a demigod is half human, half god usually Greek or Roman though there might be others. However I have a bit more Immortal in me then most, see my dad is the son of Hades and a mortal woman, and that makes him a demigod and my mom is a full fledged Goddess. She is, Eris Goddess of Chaos and Discord, and lucky me gets to be her daughter. Anyway life was good I lived with dad and got to visit the Underworld every spring break, and sometimes Mom would even show up (she is a surprisingly hands on mom for a goddess but I guess that's to be expected since the powers I got from her tend to slip from my control every now and again resulting in absolute mayhem which she delights in seeing).
My best friend and fellow demigod Curtis rarely left my side. Curtis and I were only six months apart and his mother was Enyo, sister Goddess of Eris and patron deity of carnage on the battlefield, but on the mortal side he also had a tie to the underworld since his dad is the only known child of Atropos, so he came with us to visit the underworld every spring. Yeah life was pretty good until Zeus ordered Curt and I up to the new Roman/Greek citadel in the heart of the Midwest, and I guess that's really where this story should start.
"Ugh damn! I can not believe we are stuck here instead of the Underworld where we should be!" I complain to no one in general."This sucks Curtis...hellooo? Anybody home?" I finish waving a hand in front of my dazed friend's face. He is too busy looking at the amazing city around us.
"Uh? Oh yeah yeah sure." He states coming out of his daze."What were we talking about?
"Oh nevermind just c'mon we gotta check in with the head honcho." I brush it off I'm too mad to appreciate the wonder of the Citadel. In all honesty it is the perfect blend of Greek and Roman, Lady Annabeth and her team of architects had done a wonderful job.
We wove our way thru the Citadel my father leading the way,and while Curtis seemed to enjoy the trip I was pissed that we hadn't simply shadow traveled, I hate walking. Soon enough though we were in the heart of the city and my anger faded to the glory of it. In the center was a statue larger than any of the buildings around it, and more impressively was that it depicted every single God and Goddess, all the dual deities had the greek version facing East and the roman version facing West. Zeus and Hera stood at the top their children layered down the side like a they were all standing on a pyramid. The other children of Kronos stood on each side of Hera and Zeus brothers next to Zeus sisters next to Hera. It was awesome and daunting to say the least.
Father gave us a moment to take it all in before continuing on into a building set into the base of the statue. We walked up three flights of freaking stairs and down a long hallway covered in doors until Dad finally stopped in front of one and knocked. The person in charge and behind the door said something I missed but must have been a come in because at that Dad open the door and lead us in. The big chair behind the cherry wood desk swung around to face us and I couldn't hold in my gasp of surprise to see the reason my dad was alive to help have me and therefore my personal hero sitting there. "Welcome to the Citadel children" Percy Jackson said to us with a grin.
