Summary: The head of the football team, Austin, loves Gabriella. Gabriella loves the head of the basketball team, Troy. Rated T for romance and slight language.

"Get away!" Gabriella Montez yelled to Austin, the head of the football team. They were at Gabriella's locker at the end of the day.

"Aw, Gabi, don't be like that." He said smiling, getting closer to her and touching her where she didn't want to be touched. Only Troy Bolton, her boyfriend of four months now.

"Austin, leave me alone. You know I'm with Troy. Just go!"

"But I know that you don't want Troy. I know you want me and guess what baby, I want you too." And with that, he kissed her. Right when that happened, a certain blue eyed boy turned the corner to meet at Gabi's locker, as always, and saw this.

Gabi pulled away and saw Troy.

"Troy! It's not what you think."

"Gabi…" Troy cut her off. "I thought you and I were…" Troy stopped talking and paused for a moment. "We're done. Have fun with Austin." Troy said, walking away.

"Troy! TROY!" Gabi yelled. She tried to get away from Austin's grip, but she couldn't. She kept calling his name but he just kept walking. "Troy…" Gabi whispered to herself. Tears stung her eyes.

"Now you and I can finally be together!" Austin said, kissing Gabi once again. She pulled away immediately.

"Leave me the hell alone!" She yelled at him, finally getting away from his grip.

Gabriella walked to the gym, hoping to find Troy.

Gosh, I need to find Troy! He saw what happened at the wrong time. I would never hurt Troy. I love him… She thought to herself. She arrived to the gym to find Troy by himself shooting some hoops.

I can't believe Gabi would do that to me! I thought she loved me… Troy thought to himself. Gabi slowly opened the gym door.

"Hey," she said. Troy looked at her and looked away. Gabi drew in a breath. "Troy, what you saw earlier wasn't what happened."

"Gabi, I saw everything I needed to see. I meant nothing to you. Just be with Austin and leave me alone." Troy said.

"No! It's not like that! Not at all Troy. Please, let me tell you what happened."

They didn't say anything. He just kept shooting hoops, so Gabi took this opportunity to say what she needed to say.

"Troy, I was standing by my locker waiting for you, and Austin came up to me. He started touching me, saying how I should dump you for him. I kept pushing him away, saying how much I love you. Then he kissed me, and then you walked in." Gabi said, out of breath. She stood there waiting for him to say anything. He just stood there. Then he turned around. Gabi could see the hurt in his eyes. She didn't mean to hurt him. That was the last thing she meant to do. He looked at her. He looked into her eyes and saw pure sorrow. He knew she was telling the truth. He loved her.

Troy walked over to her to Gabi and said, "Do you need me to kick his ass?" Gabi smiled. She knew Troy wasn't mad at her anymore. Troy smiled.

"No," Gabi said. "Just kiss me." Troy smiled and did just that. They shared the most earth-shattering kiss ever. They pulled away.

"I love you Gabriella Montez, and I'm sorry."

Gabi smiled. "I love you too, Troy." And with that, he kissed her.
