Death Eaters were chattering around a large piece of parchment put on a table, excited whispers flowing through the windows to a nice garden where the brackens had been cut recently. Out in the garden, under the moonlight, hisses came from behind a big rock, and there was a hooded figure near the main entrance.

"You sense it too, don't you, Nagini? Yes, our special guest is soon to arrive…" A cold, heartless voice emerged from behind the hood, leaving the trail of a hiss in the air. The figure soon started pacing around the wrought-iron gate, turning his head to the whispering wind from time to time. After a minute, the walking stopped and the figure took out a pale, like marble hand from inside his coat, and his face turned into a mischievous smile. A draft of air surrounded the rock and the man, and soon another figure appeared right next to the gate. It was a man who was also hooded, but he could barely conceal his nerves. The hisses grew in intensity from behind the rock, and a giant, emerald green serpent surfaced the rock and slid to her master's side.

"My Lord…" whispered the second hooded man, making a weak attempt of a vow.

"What do I owe the pleasure of your visit tonight, Regulus?" Voldemort's lips had barely moved but his voice sounded clear, sharp and tainted with cruelty.

"I—I didn't know you would be here, Master… I didn't expect—" Shivers were clearly shaking Regulus' body, and his hand was slowly getting under his cloak, looking for something.

"Of course you didn't expect this! But tonight is a very special day, and I'm wondering, would you mind being our… special guest?" Voldemort's gaze was fixed upon Regulus' face, and with a soft movement of his hand, figures started emerging from the house, walking slowly to their Dark Lord and Regulus.

"And the rest of our guests are here! I'm sure you must be wondering, dear Regulus, what makes this night so special?" Voldemort took a few steps towards Regulus, who took out his wand frantically and started playing with it in his right hand.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Regulus stated, trying to make his way past the wrought-iron gate. Nagini started going in circles around the place, hissing whenever she met a Death Eater.

"Don't be so rude, why are you trying to get away from your own special night?" Laughs broke the night's silence, evil and corrupt sounds that made Regulus even more nervous. Voldemort shut them up by raising his hand and beckoned Regulus to get closer, and as he made no sign of moving from the spot he was, Voldemort briskly walked to him, almost like floating.

"Tonight you're the honoree; we're paying tribute to you," Voldemort whispered nonchalantly to Regulus, who was frozen and didn't even react to these words.

"And I'll be giving you the maximum honor, dear Regulus…" The Dark Lord took few steps behind, now pointing his own wand to Regulus. Shaking, but with a fierce look on his eyes, Regulus took a breath and calmly stared into Voldemort's face. Excitement filled the air in the garden, and Voldemort laughed softly, hissing something to Nagini.

"Welcome to your special night, Regulus Black…"

A flash of green came out from Voldemort's hand and pierced Regulus' chest, and like a stop-motion movie, his body fell clumsily on the grass, in front of everyone's eyes. A Death Eater cheered next to the corpse and soon everyone joined, except for Voldemort, whose smile turned to a grimace. He turned to Nagini, hissed some orders to her and then turned to the rest of his followers, who immediately stayed still, quiet.

"And now, may we go inside for the dinner?"
