Quick note before this story starts this is a Crossover between Pokémon Crystal light in darkness and Trauma center under the knife for those wondering about characters who's names don't appear in Pokémon and comment below if you've played Trauma center it's a great game that I definitely think you should play but I better stop rambling on and get on with the story Oh and please be aware of spoilers for Trauma center, that is all.*
P.S I don't own Pokémon or Trauma Center, only OCs and events of Trauma Center happen differently in the years to work in conjunction with my Pokemon YouTube series Crystal light in darkness.
This story happens while I am recovering from my traumatic experience at the Sinnoh leauge.*
It was a clear,sunny but cold morning in the winter of 2015, at the main forefront of medicine of Caduceus, lying on a hospital bed was a badly wounded 13 year old James Buchanan recovering from his fight with his brother Harmonia, which resulted in James losing his right arm and having to be treated by the miracle surgeon Dr. Derek Stiles.
Derek Stiles was an 26 year old surgeon who had gained quite a reputation for himself for his ability the "Healing Touch" which allowed him to slow down time, and treat serious diseases or injuries that seemed impossible to a normal surgeon, Most notably G.U.I.L.T which was an highly infectious disease of parasites evading the human body, but Derek with his skills put a stop to those diseases.
However Derek could not have accomplished this without the assistance of his assistant nurse Angie Thompson and the two were definitely quite the team,which makes one assume they were good in the start right?, Wrong.
Derek was a slacker back when he first started and he and Angie didn't exactly get off on the right foot so to say, the most serious case was when Derek's negligence almost caused a patient to die, Angie thought he wasn't a real doctor but that soon changed when Derek proved himself by saving a patient which he first awakened his Healing touch and since then Angie began to respect him and Derek became the surgeon he is today.
It was one of these mornings when Angie with Reia (who was undergoing training to be a Pokémon medic)went to check on James and saw that he was peacefully sleeping, indicating that he was on the road to recovery.
Reia smiled softly at James,
"He's so cute when he's sleeping..." she said to Angie.
Angie then gave Reia a strong look,
"Don't let your personal feelings get in the way of your work Ms. Ketchum." She said strictly.
Derek then stepped in, "Oh come off it Angie, Reia's just concerned for her boyfriend it's only natural to have personal feelings for the ones we love, as after all we're human too."
Reia appreciated Derek sticking up for her but sighed, "Sorry Ms. Thompson….I'll get on the paperwork then." And she left.
Angie watched her go, feeling a bit guilty, "You think I was too harsh with her Derek?" she asked, she had only known Reia for about 3 weeks since James' hospitalization but Reia proved to be a fast learning hard worker despite Angie not being satisfied with her attitude.
Derek then kindly stated,
"I think she feels you're putting too much pressure on her, I mean you were like that with me remember?",
Angie chuckled a bit, "How could I forget?"
Lillie, James's adopted sister who was also training to be a pokèmon medic overheard the conversation and put in,
"I think Reia's also worried about James since he just lost his father after all…"
There was solemn silence at that before Derek spoke up, "Why don't you try to make it up to Reia, Angie?, I'll keep an eye on James with Lillie."

Angie taking his words by heart headed to her office to find Reia struggling with paperwork nearly to the point of exhaustion before falling asleep, much like Dr. Stiles would.
("Oh good grief…"), she thought,
("I really did go too far…")
"Reia? Are you okay?" Angie asked in concern, making Reia jolt awake.
"WAH! S-SORRY MA'AM! I'M AWAKE!!!", Reia said panicking, making Angie jump a bit too,
"O-oh…sorry Angie… what'd you want?"
Angie took a deep breath and began,"Reia…I'm sorry…"
"Huh?", Reia said confused,
"I'm sorry for that harsh comment I made to you this morning, it was unprofessional, You have the right to feel worried about someone you deeply care for."
"What brought this on?", Reia asked, was this really the same, strict Angie?
"Dr.Stiles talked to me about your concern to make me proud and how you show concern for James after the event with his family, and I have to say I'm impressed by that, but you can't push yourself overboard, I'm really to blame for this.", Angie said apologizing bowing down.
"Th-thank you…", Reia said blushing a bit.
Angie then tries to make small talk with her to bond,
"So…um…what's it like being…a…a…g-girl-f-friend?", she said blushing as she uttered the next sentence.
"Oh um…I'd say it's no different to that of being a close friend to someone you really like.",
Reia said unsure how to put it, "Why'd you ask?"
"Because I kind of want to know you a bit better that's all…", Angie said slowly beginning to open up to Reia.
Reia then goes red with shyness and asks, "Um…could it be that the reason you asked is because you like Dr. Stiles?"
Angie went bright red at that question,
"WH-WH-WHAT!?! N-NO! IT'S NOTHING LIKE THAT!!!",she said panicking, her arms waving madly in the air, anime style.
Reia then felt guilty, "S-Sorry…I shouldn't have asked…", Angie then starts to chuckle a bit.
"What's so funny?", Reia pondered out loud.
"Oh nothing, it's just you reminded me of Dr. Chase asking that to me once."
Reia then began to laugh too, she had only met Dr. Chase on a few occasions, but he could definitely be an goofball at times.
"Thanks for cheering me up Angie…ya' know you're not actually that bad as
I thought, I guess I got the wrong impression of you.", Reia admitted.
Angie smiled, "Thank you Reia. If you're having any trouble just tell me next time."
Reia feeling in a cheeky sort of mood, then "accidentally" runs a finger down Angie's sides causing her to laugh.
"Hm? Was that a tickle spot I heard Angie?", Reia teased with a hint of mischief in her eyes.
Angie jumped, stumbling backward a bit, "R-Reia…don't you dare…!"
Reia smiled jumping on her and tickling her armpits causing Angie to erupt in cute giggles.
Angie was ticklish from a young age and would often have moments of her mom teasing her whenever she was sad, while Angie did actually like tickles she thought it was undignified for a nurse and kept it to herself until Derek discovered this one day, after that she decided to be careful when speaking her mind at him.
"Nohoho!, sthahahp it!", Angie giggled,"I-it tickles! Ha-ha!",
Reia grinned, "Nope! You've been too strict lately miss stubborn nurse! You need to laugh! Laughter is the best medicine as they say! ", she teased.
With that Reia went on tickling Angie going for her tummy which made Angie squeal. "GYAHAHAHA! NOT THERE!! HAHAHAHA!",
Reia just smiled at the torture she was putting Angie through, blowing raspberries on her belly button, "AHAHAHAHAHA!",Angie shrieked.
Reia then took off Angie's shoes and tickled her feet, making her go berserk with laughter. "STHAHAHAP! I CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE!!!", Angie cried.
Reia then recoils giving Angie a chance to catch her breath, "Sorry for that Angie…,I was just trying to help you feel a bit better from the stress you face with G.U.I.L.T.", Reia said apologizing.
"Oh…I see Reia, well thank you, I actually needed that." Angie said gratefully,
"If you keep this cheerful nature up I think you'll make a good medic one day.", Reia smiled at Angie's encouragement but failed to realise that Angie was dashing toward her, pinning her down.
"Ack! Angie! D-DON'T DO THAT!!", Reia shrieked in panic,
"Don't do" what?, this?", Angie smirked, spidering her fingers on Reia's sides making her squeal.
"WHYHYHY!?!? HAHAHAHAHA!", "I'm giving you a taste of your own medicine as they also say!",
Angie teased continuing this for 10 minutes before stopping.
"That will teach you not to try that on me again.", Angie laughed, with Reia joining in,
"Hey speaking of Dr.Chase , I think I know a way to get back at him along with Derek for tickling you…", Reia said cheekily.
"How?", asked Angie intrigued.
Reia whispered it to her and they began giggling….

It wouldn't until the next morning when Derek came to check up on James would he discover what the girls got up to while he was sleeping.
Lillie was already there next to James's bedside taking his temperature and blood much to James's discomfort as he didn't like needles...,but upon seeing Derek's face the pair desperately tried hard not to laugh.
"Huh? What is it James?", Derek asked oblivious,
"Pfft…s-sorry Derek…hehe…y-your…face… it's just…hehe…", James said struggling to keep a straight face.
"Lillie? What's gotten into him?" Derek asked even more confused,
"Gehehe….Derek…y-you…you should see…hehe…y-yourself in the mirror…!" Lillie said trying but, clearly failing to hold in laughs.
Derek looked in the mirror and…."WHAAAAAAATTTTT!?!??!?",he exclaimed,
"H-how…how did this get on my face!?!?",
for there in the mirror showed….his face covered in pen markings in the shape of a cat with pink all over his face.
Just then Dr.Chase burst in hearing the noise,
"Derek! What happ-- Pfft….BWAHAHAHAHA!! What happened to your face!? It's all pink in the shape of a CAT!", he laughed!
James and Lillie joined in laughing so hard that they almost died, but not just at Derek but at Chase as well.
Derek joined in too, "Looks like the same thing happened to you too Tyler! HAHAHA!", Derek exclaimed.
Tyler looked in the mirror too and his reaction was the same as Derek's,
"WHO DID THIS!?!?", he exclaimed.
"We did! Gotcha boys! You got pranked!", the voices came from Angie and Reia who were also laughing at their work,
yes during the night shift when both Derek and Chase were on their break asleep, Angie and Reia got to work doodling on their faces.
"Why you…come here you two! ",
Derek and Tyler said playfully,threatening Angie and Reia.
"Run?" Angie asked, "Yes RUN!" Reia said and they sprinted out as Derek and Tyler ran after them intent on payback.
James smiled a bit at the scene that unfolded before drifting off to sleep again, with Lillie giggling at his cute, unguarded sleeping state leaving him be.
Ever since that day Angie and Reia have remained best friends despite being far apart after James eventually recovered, because even though friends may part ways, their bond shall never disappear.
