AN: So, I know I haven't written in a REALLY long time, and I apologize. I have decided to delete my other stories, as they weren't up to where I wanted them to be, and I didn't like the bad and unoriginal writing. I have decided to keep this story, as I still like the idea, but this is going to be a rewrite of the first chapter. Anyway, on to the story...
Jane was so happy. She couldn't wait to get out of the hellhole that she had to call a home for three months. She had set a camera up in her room, catching her foster family in all the horrible things they did to her. She was finally leaving, and she learned she was being placed in a foster home that is new, but loving, with another foster brother about two years younger than her. She also learned that there was a girl next door who used to be a foster kid, but was adopted by her family, who had gone through something very similar to her situation.
She grabbed all the stuff she could from her dresser in the hellhole, and left with her social worker. She was brought to the new house, and decided to get situated with the family before she went to talk to the girl next door. She walked through the front door, and was greeted with hugs. She was slightly uncomfortable, and tried to squeeze her way out of it. The woman who had hugged her quickly let her go, almost as if she was afraid she had broke her. "I'm Tina, and this is my husband Bob. This is our foster son Connor." Jane just kind of stared at them for a minute, not exactly sure whether or not to give an answer.
Tina was short, with a medium build, and brown hair with blonde tips. She had a very nice and caring demeanor, while Bob had a very intimidating one. Bob had light blonde hair that went all over the place. He was tall, heavyset, and had a low voice. Connor had a light brown hair, and had a nice and caring demeanor, like Tina. It almost didn't seem like the were only foster parents and children. "I'm Jane" she said after a long pause. They kept staring at her like they were expecting something more. She didn't know what to say, so she kept silent. "Okay! Well, let me show you your bedroom. Come right up these stairs with me." said Tina after a long pause.
Jane followed her up to her room, which was moderate sized, but seemed nice. She could see a lake or river of some sort from her window. She let Tina ramble on about how she was so excited to have another girl in the house, and immediately asked if she knew if the next door neighbors were home. "I was told their daughter went through something similar to what I did." Jane asked, cutting her off rudely. "I don't know, but heck with Connor. His boyfriend lives there, so might have something for you." Jane went to go find Connor while Tina stayed to tidy up the room, even though it looked fine for Jane. She found Connor in the living room playing video games.
"Hi. Do you know if the next door neighbors are home?" Jane asked, trying to come off as nice. "The Fosters? Yeah, they're home. Why?" "I was told they had a daughter who went through something similar as me. How did she end up there?" "Callie? She was raped in her old foster home, but I don't know the details. Maybe you should ask her?" "How did you get here?" Jane asked after a long pause. "My dad couldn't accept me being gay, so I got mad, and we got into a fight. He hit me, and my boyfriend noticed and notified the police. They put me here while my dad is in jail." "Oh. I'm so sorry. I didn't know. Thank you though, for the info on the Fosters." Jane said as she walked through the front door. She hoped that people weren't just lying, and this Callie girl really had gone through hell, or all this was kinda useless...
