Shopping bags bounced against Laura Hollis's leg as she walked through the Cornerfield Mall. A lot was on her mind, including her girlfriend Carmilla's suprise birthday party. They had been together for months now, and Laura wanted to show how much she cared. Carm was the opposite of Laura- dark, brooding, and sexy all rolled into one. Not to mention the fact that she was a vampire. But, despite their differences, the bond had grown. So as she shopped for black and red streamers, balloons, and party hats, Laura was pondering if Carmilla would even want a suprise party. She's snarky, unoutgoing, and bitter. Well, to everyone but Laura. She could use a party! Their friends Danny, LaFontaine, Kirsch and Perry were helping her plan, everything would be perfect! What could go wrong? She walked into Hot Topic and started looking for the perfect gift.
"Can I help you?" the salesgirl asked. Gina, her nametag read.
"No, thank you." Laura gave the girl a small smile. "Just looking around."
Gina shrugged, and went back to looking bored. Hmmmmm... a choker? Leather gloves? A My Little Pony tee? No, those wouldn't say how she felt. Out of the corner of her eye, Laura saw something perfect...
