When Castiel was told that he needed to rescue Dean Winchester from hell, he didn't realize it would be so difficult. He didn't realize that Sam and Dean Winchester were psychopathic killers and that getting Dean out of that life would lead to his own fall from heaven. He also didn't realize that he would end up feeling something for the Righteous Man that he had never felt before.
