Heiji was a broken dog. Both physical and mentally. Not that his ribs wore broken but he was also defeated by a pup named Riki. After Riki saves Daisuke and he and his pack fleas when they learned that Riki is Shiro's son, Heiji did still want to know why Riki protected Daisuke. So when Riki is returning back home from his visit to his mother, Heiji decided to follow him to his home.
"So this is where the kid lives" Heiji said to himself when Riki stopped at his house where Takeda Gohee lived. Takeda got out of the house and gave Riki his food and let him be off the leash to roam freely on his estate. Heiji saw this and suddenly he had flashback about his puppy hood and the years his growing years.
"Happy birthday son" father told his son who's name was Taichi. Taichi was 11 years old that day. He soon opened a box and a husky mix puppy's head popped out. Taichi's face turned from a happy face to a frown in the second.
"What is this" Taichi said to his father.
"It's a husky mix puppy. His name is Heiji. Is this not what you wanted" father asked.
"I wanted a strong dog like German Shepard or a Great Dane. Any breed that would be a strong dog not some week half breed." Taichi said angry.
"Well like it or not you're gonna take care of him and that's it." His father said with a matter of fact tone is his voice
"OK fine I'll take care of the stupid mutt" Taichi said with an evil grin. As soon as Heiji saw that grin he whimpered, he knew that nothing good would come out of this. And so the years of his torture began.
Heiji was beaten a lot by Taichi for everything. First this in the morning that Taichi did when he got out of the house was to kick Heiji hard in his stomach and yelled at him how stupid and ugly he was. Than he was tied on a leash so tight the every time he tried to move he was starting to choke and than beaten again just for Taichi's fun. But he was still waging with his tail when Taichi came out of the house. That was when he was still a puppy. When he was at his teen age he had enough. Taichi came out of the house to kick him in stomach Heiji saw a chance and bit him the leg hard. Taichi yelled in pain. But what Heiji didn't know was that Taichi had a little help in a form of an stick in his hand. So Taichi started to pound on Heiji with a stick until he released his leg but he kept on him for about a minute. That was one part for his actions. Taichi also decided that he will not feed Heiji for about five days. After a couple of days Heiji had enough of his owner and decided that he will hate humans till the end of his days. So at night while every one was asleep he managed to get free of his leash and run away forever.
"Kid you're such a lucky pup that you have someone too take care for you" Heiji said with a tear in his eyes and he walked away seeing that people can be nice to their dog at treat them as their family.
