A/N: I am so sorry for this angst.
You watched terrified as the light in her eyes began to dim. She had been injured during the fight and you tried to stop the bleeding. If she had just listened to you when you said it was trap maybe she wouldn't be fading away in your arms. She coughed and blood came out of her mouth. You're crying but you don't care, not when your sun is dying. She reaches up slowly, pained, and wipes your tears leaving a streak of blood on your cheek. She smiles and says "I will always love you," and then she's gone and you start sobbing. The others run over and someone tries to take her from you. You are having none of it and let out a desperate heartbroken scream.
You jolt up in bed with the scream stuck in your throat and covered in sweat. You're disoriented until you hear her voice.
"It was just a nightmare baby. You're okay and so am I."
You turn to her and launch into her arms crying in relief and fear left over from the nightmare. She rubs your back and kisses your head as you listen to her strong heartbeat. Yours starts to slow and match hers. Once you've calmed you look up into blue eyes and whisper "Never leave me." She smiles and kisses you softly and says "I will never leave you. I promise."
