To Logan Howlett,
I regret to inform you that Captain America was announced KIA today following a mission. You were on a list of people found in his things of people to tell if anything happened.
I must also ask you to keep this information secret, as this information will be kept top-secret. I know you worked with him in Germany and he spoke very highly of you.
My condolences,
Agent Margaret Carter, SSR
Logan looked at the letter in disbelief. Rogers had been a good man; probably the best that he had known in a long time. Sitting in the command center that he and Victor were assigned, he let the grief hit him.
"Stupid kid, probably ended up acting like a hero." He said under his breath.
He sat there for maybe an hour, playing over and over the mission he and the Captain did together. Liberating that camp, the kid they found all alone, his terrified face as they came in.
He looked up suddenly as he heard footsteps, smelling Victor coming.
"Jim," His brother said as he entered, "they got another mission for us." The smile on his face was blood thirsty. Something that was getting worst and worst after all the battles and wars they had fought together.
Logan stood and nodded, "Let's go." He headed to the door, thoughts on the great American hero. One, unlike him, that the world would know of everything his done.
