Hello! This is my first whack at writing fanfiction in a while, so I apologize if it's crappy. Hope you enjoy!
It had been a long journey, but it was well worth it.
The Beldam smiled as she began to yank the yarn hair off a doll.
She still couldn't believe she got discovered. She had lived in the Pink Palace Apartments for centuries, feeding off the souls of the children who moved there, until some stupid Betazoid sensed her presence and somehow managed to force her to leave. The Beldam still remembered the smirk that damned Betazoid had given her as she got thrown off the property.
The Beldam should have killed that Betazoid. But adults aren't much fun to kill.
The Beldam had wandered the universe for a few years, trying not to pay much attention to her growing hunger. Her pocket universe followed.
She needed a permanent place to stay, to catch her prey. To put down roots.
And now, she had found the perfect place.
The flagship of the Federation. The USS Enterprise. A place just bustling with children that called it home. And the good news was that they came and went.
Hardly anyone would know if a few children disappeared. And nobody would believe the children if they tried telling an adult about her world.
She finished pulling out the doll's hair, and tore off its clothes, flinging them aside. She ripped into the doll, pulling out its cotton filling and replacing it with sand. The Beldam then sewed the doll back up and gave it new clothes and hair.
Last, she took off the buttons that served as the doll's eyes. They had long become worn, and a fine layer of dirt covered them.
The Beldam opened a nearby box and took out a pair of newer buttons. She rubbed her fingers on them, feeling the cool smoothness brush against her metal fingers.
With expert precision, she threaded the buttons to the doll's face. Stepping back, she admired her handiwork.
The doll of a teenage boy in a gray sweater stared back at her. Grinning, the Beldam picked it up and walked into the corridor.
The Enterprise surrounded her, cold and unforgiving. The Other Enterprise, of course. If a woman like her walked around the real Enterprise, there'd be nothing but trouble.
After a few twists and turns, she came to a door. She opened it, revealing the shuttle bay.
