I find it amusing, the fact that Kate seems to think we are all oblivious to her and Gibbs's relationship. We aren't idiots…well most of us…McGee's the smartest idiot I've ever met but that's irrelevant. I think deep down she has to know we all know. I mean he's always had his hand on the small of her back and they've always bantered, that's nothing new. But honestly, she had saw dust in her hair the other day when she came back from her lunch break. He came back shortly after she did with a box of carryout. When one goes on an hour long lunch break, especially when that is totally un normal you except them to have eaten by the time they get back, not spent all their time making out under a boat skeleton in the basement.

On top of that, the elevator has been 'jamming' on and off for weeks now and it only seems to happen after Kate and Gibbs gets in it to go somewhere. One time last week, I could've sworn she went in the elevator with red lipstick on but when she came out, after it had been jammed for ten minutes; her lips were chapped and pink. To use one of Abby's words, it's a little hinky, very hinky.

And then there are times like now, when actually doing investigative work, like timing the elevator and when it 'jammed', is totally useless because the two of them are so obvious.

You would think after how many hundreds of years Gibbs had done this job he would've learned to be less obvious when he gazed at an agent on his team. And by gaze I mean not move his eyes from her lips why she is telling him a report he is oblivious to. I think that is the real reason he finds errors in all our reports, he needs an excuse to read them fifteen times because he never hears them the first time because he is starring at Kate and the other thirteen times don't sink in because I'm sure he's busy thinking about Kate. I would be.

And I know it shouldn't bother me, him and Kate, I've said it before, Kate is too smart to fall for me. And it just might be the fact that my fifty year old boss could get her and I couldn't but I think deep, deep, deep, deep down I might have at one time, a while ago had a thing for Kate. Maybe.

Gibbs is prompting my report by calling my name but I don't see the point as I hesitantly tell him what little I've found because he is still staring at Kate. In his defense in that skirt it's hard not to but honestly, if you make rules you follow them. Ok well I don't but a responsible person does. I spill my few sentences on the case and go back to watching him watch Kate.

Part of me wants to act like that big brother she once told me I was. That part of me wants to walk up to him and explain how he'll die if he breaks her heart, that she's gone out with too many jerks lately (like my frat brother) and if he proves to be another one he might as well sign his will, but that doesn't seem like a smart thing to say to a marine. Especially when said marine is my boss.

"Kate, your with me" the order comes out like the normal bark, I was losing my touch, I hadn't see him answer the phone. Maybe he hadn't answered the phone. Hinky.

She jumps up and rushes to the elevator, and I notice that his stride has changed to match hers, and that his hand brushed her hair as it journeyed to settle at the small of her back. So not obvious.

A/N: Well? Don't leave me hanging.
