I do not own hetalia, but I sure do wish. I only own this story. Enjoy!
Dear Arthur,
Sorry for not writing to you sooner, but I've been very busy lately. First things first, yes I was attacked by the Japanese on December 7th at Pearl Harbor. Yes I'm fine Arthur, pretty banged up, but I'm ok. Matt told me that you were worrying for my safety and i should write to you. You have probably been hearing stories about the attack and can tell you they are probably true. I'm going to tell you my version.
December 6th, just a normal day, I woke up, worked out, ate, then started my paperwork. I had been at Pearl Harbor for 2 months by that time and I loved it. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was cheerful. I went to Pearl Harbor because of the hard feelings between my government and Japan's government. And from hearing this, you are probably thinking where was the warning? Why were you not alarmed? And you know what Iggy, I honestly do not know. Every warning we had, did not get taken seriously. We honestly had the biggest miscommunication, EVER. And you know what, we never thought Japan had the guts to attack the harbor. The next day was just like every other day. My first warning was the roaring of the planes flying; at that moment I knew something was wrong because the roaring of the planes were to close. After I heard the them go by I heard the booms of bombs going off and the thundering of the machine guns. My first thought was "Oh God we are in trouble" and then being a leader kicked in. I started to call off orders and then I booked it to the nearest airstrip, to get the planes into the air. Once I got there I started to help with the planes but soon, they would be in flames.
This damn attack lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes; the longest time of my life. 2,335 military members were killed, 814 wounded. 68 civilians were killed, 35 wounded. 215 aircraft were wrecked and 15 ships were either sunk or seriously damaged. Then, many of my airfields were destroyed or damaged. This was my first extreme attacked that hit home. After the attack I was just heartbroken; I was at a loss of words. I did not know what to think or do, I was just a doll, a broken doll. No words could or can describe my thoughts and feelings of the attack. You could heard the screams and or moans of pain of my men. Nothing will ever make me forget those cries of pain and morning. The air was thick and silent. I will get my revenge. I will destroy every single one of them, they will pay for what they did.
