FUNNY AND DIE

Dean flashed his fake badge, introduced himself then Sam by a couple of fake agent names, and followed Sheriff Bondonni into the small club. His gaze roamed the gloomy space, taking in the bodies slumped at their tables, their faces frozen in rictus grins. He turned to the sheriff.
"So you're telling us all these people laughed themselves to death."
"That's exactly what I'm tellin' ya."
"And they were watching a stand-up comic at the time?" queried Sam.
"Yeah. Some yahoo by the name of Sethos something-or-other."
"And he's disappeared."
"Appears so."
A deputy called to the sheriff. "'Scuse me."
After the sheriff walked away, Dean turned to Sam. "So we're looking for a killer comic?"
Sam nodded his head. "Yeah. And if I remember right, Sethos means one who dazzles. So that fits. AND it's the name of of an ancient evil god of Chaos."
"So...maybe an ancient evil god...not good."
"Not at all."
Dean's gaze once more drifted over the bodies and their deathly merry expressions. "Hell of a way to go."
Sam's gaze too traveled over the bodies. He shivered. "Yeah. Good thing we have really underdeveloped funny bones."
