The Imperial flag waved so beautifully in the cold Skyrim wind. The red dragon pressed against a field of black, hanging on a stone tower amongst the many small buildings of Helgen.

Sometimes Tamr would lose himself, just staring into that simple flag, just thinking whether such a creature as a dragon ever had or will exist. He usually dismissed it as a tall tale, but there was just something...

"HEY, WAKE UP!" a sudden voice angrily shouted. "Get back to your post!" the guard yelled at Tamr.

Yes, I know, what stories could ever start with guards, even ones that you knew their names? Well, Tamr was different. He dreamed of adventure and action and heroics, and here he was in Helgen, getting a small sum of gold to walk around, break up the occasional drunken brawls, and once in a while a little "action": getting to sock a petty thief in the jaw and drag him to the dungeons for stealing a few peices of silverware from a shop.

So Tamr walked back to his post by the eastern gate. It was only a few moments before the gate crashed open and three bandits ran through. Luckily, Tamr was in a position next to the gate so that the bandits wouldn't notice him.

He pulled out his greatsword and ran the first bandit through from behind, jabbing right through the brown leather armor and into soft flesh, blood pouring from the fatal wound. The first one was dead.

The second bandit noticed Tamr and charged at him. Tamr pulled out his large, bloody blade from the first bandit's corpse and swung at the incoming enemy. His greatsword sunk itself into flesh and smashed through the bandit's ribs, killing him almost instantly.

Tamr was not as fast recovering that time, and the third was already moving on him with a heavy warhammer, probably with the thought of splitting Tamr's skull. He raised his giant, blunt weapon, ready to crush Tamr, when he suddenly went rigid. He dropped the warhammer, and that was when Tamr noticed the point of a sword protruding from the bandit's chest. The bandit fell to his knees, then dropped with his face in the dirt. The third one was dead.

The guard who killed the last bandit asked Tamr,"Still excited for adventure?"

"More than ever," Tamr replied.
