A body grunted as it was hurdled across the pub floor and landed in a heap at the bottom of the wall opposite.
The other occupants of the room looked up, surprised and if nothing else a little bit intrigued as the door swung open a second time and a spiky haired blond strode in, a dark expression marring his face as the body gave a twitch and a feeble moan.
"Cloud," Tifa began. "Not that I'm not interested in why you've dragged him in here, but was it really necessary to throw him against the wall and crack the plaster?"
"He was spying outside the window, listening to everything we were saying! Ready to run back like a whipped dog to his master! You know how dangerous that is for us Tifa. We have Denzel and Marlene to think of." Cloud snarled whilst advancing on the twitching body on the floor.
The body shifted and opened one swollen eye.
"I heard nuthin'." He hissed.
"Liar."
"I swear dammit! I heard fuck all! You all bloody mumble to much for me to have heard anything."
"Swear on your mothers life!"
"Ha, I'd love to except she's dead, chocobo head."
Cloud kicked at the body on the floor, emitting a groan from it as it curled into a fetal position.
"Fuck!"
Tifa rushed forward and grabbed Cloud, turning him away from the body.
"He's not worth it! We only stoop to their level if we act like them!"
Cloud continued to stare daggers at him.
Tifa turned his face to face hers.
"For me Cloud?"
His face softened as he gazed at the deep brown eyes looking back at him pleading and full of so much love.
"For you, that's all Tifa."
Tifa nodded.
"That's okay. I expect nothing more just don't sink to their level, please Cloud. Violence isn't in you, you're not like that."
Cloud nodded and vaguely, but didn't miss the look of relief that crossed the persons face on the floor .
With a small smile, Tifa walked out of the main bar and outside .
"I've got a couple of deliveries to make, so I wont be back till late Cloud. Will you and the others be okay looking after Seventh heaven or do you want me to close it up for the day?"
"Best close it up. I want to ask our friend here a few questions, before I send him on his way. Can't do that while people come in for drinks."
Nodding, Tifa gave a quick kiss to Cloud and waved to the others and disappeared down a side street where the vehicles were kept for the deliveries.
Cloud watched the road for a few minutes, making sure that she didn't reappear and turned back to the person struggling to get his feet.
"I think we need a chat don't you Reno?"
