The Adventures of Team Lone Star
Chapter One:
Perseverance
The trail is tough, but we will persevere.
Perseverance.
What a large word... A "big bird word", as my father would have sarcastically put it.
If I hadn't persevered while going through Wish Cave, James would not be here. My significance in life would have been miniscule.
Now, my life is important, along with the rest of my team.
We are now thought of as a solid, reliable team, one that can get the big jobs done. Some tried to convince themselves it was just dumb luck, but we've accomplished so much...
We cleared Wish Cave (This was the second time I cleared it) and asked Jirachi to stop the natural disasters that are believed to cause mystery dungeons. The legend told us that it would be impossible to stop them right away, and that these disasters were already diminishing slowly, but she would speed the process up.
We've defeated Dayenira, a Mismagius of obscene strength who tried to kill off inferior species of pokemon with her Perish Song. The Rattata population took quite a hit, but the Dunsparce population is of most concern. There is only one "civilized" Dunsparce in this region. There isn't any evidence of them being in the wild, either. We're lucky we got to her before Dunsparce became completely extinct.
And now, we are looking for two very tough outlaws. They are described as mere children, but then again, my team is made of mere children, including me. One is a Vulpix, who is said to have psychic powers or something. The other is an Eevee. Not sure what he's capable of.
The only reason that this case intimidates me at all is because these children successfully stole from a Kecleon. Boy, are Kecleon tough. I accidentally left a Kecleon shop without paying, and it beat the crap out of me.
Perseverance has got us this far. We are respected almost like heros. Experience is what we are missing. Especially our newest member, Navy the Mudkip... He is so childish. I learned to live with James' mischievous nature, but I'm not sure if I can adapt to Navy...
