"Is that a…"

"Oops."

"Caeda! M--"

An arrow flew her way and landed cleanly. Her pegasus turned to the side, making her fall.

"Whoa--" Marth ran over and dived to catch her.

"Nice!" Ogma chuckled a bit.

"Oof…"

"Jagen? Will you do the honors?"

"Hmm? Okay." He rode over towards the daft archer.

"Ah, cra--HNNNGGGH!"

He fell.

"Lovely…" Marth turned his attention to the princess in his arms and sighed. "Are you all right?"

"Mm-hmm…" She nodded weakly. "What about my pegasus?"

It snorted. (Does it have a name, anyways?)

"It's fine." He smiled softly and helped her stand up, getting to his feet in the process. "You always do that, Caeda…"

"Sorry… if I scared you. But it's just my strategy. Has it ever failed?"

"No… but that doesn't mean it still might not."

"Hmm?"

"You understand." He smiled still and took her hands in his own--

"Hey, lovebirds, we're still occupied here!" Cain yelled as he rode by, Abel right behind.

"So cute." Barst snickered.

"You heard them. Let's keep moving, all right?" Marth unsheathed his sword again and went after them. "Stay clear of the archers, eh?

Caeda…

Caeda!"

"Hmm? Oh! Uh… okay!"

"Okay."

And just thinking of her kept his smile on.
