The boy looks over at his Mother, as she takes her last breath. "Mom? Mom?...Come back!" he cries. "I'm so sorry." the girl tells him, resting her hand on his shoulder. "No, no. It's okay. It was her time. She's with Dad now," he says. Even though he weeps for his Mother, he knows that she couldn't wait any longer, so he smiles.
Above, in the Afterlife, Finnick awaits Annie's return on the beach. He runs to her as she runs to him. They embrace each other, and silently take one anothers hand. Smiling, they walk off to watch the sunrise.
They find a perfect spot in the sand, not too far from shore, and sit down together. She rests her head on his arm. "I've missed you so much," she cries. "Me too, now, we're finally free," he says back. They smile at each other and watch as the light appears and takes over the dark night...
