New day, Same Faces

It has been about five years since I moved away from my childhood home in forks. I remember leaving and being so heartbroken that I had to leave Edward behind. I wanted nothing more than to stay in forks with all my friends and especially him.

Life was fast moving after I moved. I had to get use to the city life, which for me a girl who grew up in the small town of forks was hard at first. I made new friends and kept in touch with my old ones. Rose and Alice came up to New York and stayed the summers with me. He didn't speak to me. After five years, I hadn't seen or spoken to Edward.

Now I was getting ready to start my first year of college. I was accepted into Juilliard School of Music for singing and acting.

"Taxi!" I screamed waving my hand into the street. I clung onto the necklace that held the ring that Edward gave me at the dance. I kept it all this time. It made me feel safe. A yellow cab pulled up as I smiled to myself. I was so excited to start the next chapter of my life. As I got into the cab I saw a face that looked so familiar to me.

That curly brown hair and tall lanky body. It couldn't be, I thought to myself. "Earth to you lady," the cabbie looked at me with annoyance in his eyes, "I don't have all day, where to?"

"I'm sorry, 60 Lincoln Center Plaza please." I sat back in the seat and plugged my earbuds in. The drive went smoothly. I grew to love this city after moving here, it took some adjusting but it made me realize that living in this city can make your dreams come true.

We arrived to the building and I paid the cabbie, "Keep the change" I said as I exited the cab. I stood on the side walk to take in the view. This is it, my life is about to start, I smiled. I started walking towards the door looking down at my phone. I had a text from Alice.

Bella, Call me asap. I need to talk to you. -Alice

Not paying attention to where I was walking I bumped into someone's back. "I'm so sor-," I stopped mid-sentence, I couldn't believe my eyes. "Edward, what are you doing here?"

Edward turned and meet my gaze, "Bella, hello.. it's been a long time."

I couldn't believe this was happening. It's been five years. Five years of no communication. Nothing. And now he is standing right in front of me.
