This is my first fic just to warn you...
Frustrated Love
Max
Max walked up the barren street at midnight. He had been wandering around for hours, looking for Liz, but after stopping at the Crashdown three times during the course of the evening, he had given up hope of finding her and headed home to sleep off his frustration. Though he and his other alien friends only needed two hours of sleep, he wanted to bury his feeling of disappointment into his bed. Laying in the dark, staring the ceiling was all he did that night, but in hope of just hearing her beautiful voice, he thought of all the things he would say to her next morning at school.
Early the next morning, Max got up to take a shower. As he got up to get ready, he stumbled over his coat on the floor and felt something in his pocket. When he reached down, he saw a piece of paper sticking out of it. It was crumpled and in a mess of old wrappers and such, but as he read it, he learned it was a love-letter from his darling Liz, written many months before. It said:
To my Max,
I missed you today, where were you?
Are you sick?
Just remember I love you and I hope you feel
Better. Please call me and tell me how you're doing.
Love,
Liz
He smiled, he knew that Liz wasn't avoiding him last night.
He dialed up Liz but there was no answer, ring, ring, ring. At least she'll be in school. He walked out of the room and hopped into the shower.
Liz
All night she had been partying with Maria, club after club. She needed to get away, away from Max, but every time she thought of him, her heart skipped a beat. Max was all she could think about. She new she couldn't see him anymore, not after the Max, Tess, Her triangle. Also, about the fait of Earth since it was ALL up to her or that's what Max from the future said. She knew she couldn't see him, but she longed so bad to see him, to have his arms around her, to be able to be in love again. She knew she couldn't but she did. All the partying did was take her mind off him for a few hours, something to dull the pain she felt in her heart.
By 1, she was beat and told Maria to stop drooling over the guy in the corner and to drive home. Maria, after a few minutes of whining why, realized how late it was and tomorrow was a school day! She freaked about how her parents will so kill her since she broke curfew! Maria and Liz ran to the car and drove off in a blur of speed.
Lying in bed, Liz contemplated if she should call Max, but decided not to, she needed to remain alone. Her mind could not compete with her heart, but after battling throughout the night, she realized it was 6:00 and school started soon. Her phone began to ring, but dismissed it for she knew it was Max, he had always called her at 6 in the past.
She hopped into her shower and let the hot water drown out her love for her beloved Max.
